Thank you Jet, Case & Dirty Harry...

Lived to fight another game...

Scrappy outing by the team. I had us beating Detroit and losing @ Chicago, but what do I know?

Amen. It was a nail biter but nicely done with the finish. Another monkey off their backs.

My game MVPs, in that order.  Case did ignite the team, but McKinnon made some big time plays.

It was an ugly game, but we always seem to play poorly at Chicago for some reason. Bradford definitely did not look right out there and thankfully, Keenum came in and played solid ball. We missed on some deep chances, but it seemed like Chicago was keeping their safeties back forcing the Vikings to attack more short to mid range today. As much as McKinnon frustrates me, he stepped up and had a big game, though he was lucky to have fumbled out of bounds on the kick return. The defense played fairly well. Waynes was picked on early, Sendejo was the victim of a bad bounce, and at some point Priefer needs to be held accountable.

Hopefully, the passing game regardless of who is starting next week can get back on track. Things are definitely tougher without Cook, but they shouldn't drop off that much.

Jet looked the part...I have a feeling that if we got Murray more carries he'd get in a groove...go with the hot hand...definitely better running attack than last year's shit show...

I'm going to be the party pooper re McKinnon. Yes, I loved the 58-yard TD, but the Bears defense was out of place (and I also thought McKinnon was going to slow up and get tackled at the 5!) Take that run away and he was getting short gains and no gains, 2.7ypc. The OL and the playcalling have some blame, no doubt. He is a good backup, but no more.

This is what I'd like to see happen. Murray isn't Dalvin but I like his overall skill set better than McKinnon's. Plus....McKinnon makes me nervous with some of the chances he takes, especially on kickoffs. He got that 1 kick return TD in the preseason and suddenly he thinks he's CP. He's NOT CP.
AND btw...yes, we do miss CP around here, if for no other reason than having an extra scoring opportunity for a team that annually battles injuries and dinged up offensive players (Diggs, Rudolph).

I wasn't going to bring Patterson up, but...yeah...KRs are getting a little too exciting for the wrong reasons...for approximately what we are paying Wright we could have retained #84...

McKinnon needs to quit bringing the ball out.   The risk isnt worth the reward, IMO far to often we are starting drives after KOs to far behind the 25.  1 TD return and a couple across the forty dont make up for many many drives starting inside the 20.  The league is giving us the 25,  fools for not taking it everytime.  even if CP was here I would likely feel the same way,  he was  a little more apt to pop a bigger return,  but he had his share of stinkers as well.  I just like that sure thing in taking the touch back.

raise your hand if you didnt think McKinnon was going to get up after a few of those hits last night.  ( my hand is raised)  tough ass kid!
