Appreciate how good Kirk Cousins is, literally nothing will.

Truth. And for some, nothing will. No matter what. Although its painfully obvious.
Going to be a very interesting offseason in Vikingland. Tie the purple wagon to Kirk Cousins for another 3 years (I don't think he'll sign for less than 3 years unfortunately) or cut the cord and go in a completely new direction.

How many chances are you going to give him? There are better prospects on the horizon.

soon to be 36-year-old QB coming off a major surgery that has ended many careers or took over a year to get close to 90% = time to move on.
I'm not sure the market will be that great for him because of the above. So if the market is just so/so then yes re4sign him otherwise time to start a new chapter - IMO

Run it back with Kirk and add to the pieces we have in place, while also keeping in mind the future of the QB position. 2. Press the Red Button and completely blow it up to take a shot at drafting a QB that will start day 1. Odds are probably less than 35 percent we end up with a good/great NFL QB out of any draft we take one. So unless we are incredibly lucky the first go around, we kiss any good players currently on our team goodbye and sit on the never ending merry go round of QB doom until we find one. Blue pill or Red Pill?

Since 1990, the Vikings have drafted 4 QB’s in the first two rounds of the draft. Culpepper, Tarvaris Jackson, Ponder, and Teddy.
Exactly one of those QBs had a decent career, even though everyone hated him, bitched about his “small hands”, eluded to lack of intelligence, and wished Todd Bouman would replace him. Forgive me if I’m not enthusiastic about finding “the guy” at QB in the draft

Quote: @FLVike said:People complain about Kirk’s mobility, and you suggest the guy who has blown out his right knee TWICE by age 23. He did look great against Texas, but 2 season ending ACL injuries and 2 season ending AC joint injuries is a lot to consider when you wanna just hand over the keys to a rookie. |
