With the Lions’ Loss…
#11
Its too funny the Vikings have their destiny in their hands. As its turning out, Vikings could have been a pretty good team in the NFC with Cousins. Only the Cowboys and Eagles (barely) would have been better. The Lions are obviously a beatable team. Minnesota has already beaten San Fran and Green Bay.

JMO, but I think the Vikings are going to fade away here in the next several weeks because Mullens is backup quality only. He'll be much better than Dobbs, but I think you'll need decent QB play to beat teams like Cincy, Detroit and Green Bay. I'll be curious to see what Nick looks like with a full week of prep.

He can at least run the offense which Dobbs couldn't.  It seems that rocket science and football don't mix.  But KOC got Dobbs his participation trophy which apparently was important enough to halt our win streak, kill the buzz and lose two (and nearly three) winnable games.

I expect Mullens to turn it over on a regular basis, it's what he's done before.  But he can move chains and get us scores working from the pocket which Dobbs cannot. The fighting chance at Cincinnati will be Flores causing Jake Browning to look like the real Jake Browning.  That's the hope anyway.

Concerned about Addison, he has not been the same player lately, he is not playing physical and just does not look into it.  I saw all his games last year at USC and he also faded at the end of the season, although he was battling injuries then.  I wonder if at his size he is wearing down.  He just does not look into it, if you didn't see him earlier in the year, you would think he looks like a guy that doesn't care to be out there.

That would be fantastic and fingers crossed.  Where are you hearing that?

I suspect that a lot of Addison fading is Dobbs. He does not make WRs look good. His passes tend to be high, behind, and late. JJ can adjust and make the catch (and get killed in the process) but normal receivers cannot. Dobbs likes big TEs, and even there, he has gotten TJ crushed a few times also. This is an under-appreciated quality of good QBs - they don't get their WRs killed. Dobbs does not possess that ability. I expect Mullins to be better at it than Dobbs but not quite in the Cousins world.

I think it's a case of Addison just hitting the proverbial "rookie wall" at the same time the Passtronaut was showing everybody who we already knew he was. I'm still trying to figure out how KOC stuck with him so long after the Bears game shit sandwich and an abysmal half against Vegas where he essentially got the franchise player laid out on one of his many inaccurate throws. He never should have seen the field after halftime

Try to win out and repeat or lose get a WC and then beat Lions in Detroit.

Ending Detroit @ Detroit in the playoffs and this season would be a massive success. I'd be good with it 100%
