Late observations
#1
A few late observations as I finally have the time.

Anyone notice Metellus on Hunter's sack?  Love that design, Metellus dives inside to take the RB chip, freeing up Hunter for a one on one.  Metellus celebrates like he had the sack and Hunter acknowledged him rather than do his kick celebration.  Amazing teamwork.

Chandler is fast.  On that fake punt, he was around the end and almost busted it.  Even on his blown blitz pickup that caused the INT, Chandler was the one to make the tackle, bursting out and laying the defender out.  He made a mistake, but didn't pout but rather did his best to limit the damage.  That location is often a pick 6.

On the final TD, it looks like Metellus was probably responsible.  Blackmon made a slight gesture after it and seemed to be more worried about the WR short of the endzone.  Metellus was late getting Sutton IMO.

without going back and looking,  wasnt there a TE or something underneath that he bit on a pump fake for on that play?  :I was wondering if a LB missed getting to depth or into coverage that caused him to lose focus for a second.  it sucks,  but I still think we are on a net gain for the year with JM.

Harrison was on the TE and there really was no pump fake.  JM is a good player, not pinning the loss on him, just observing why Blackmon seemed late on the easy jump ball.

It was past my bed time and I haven't gone back to re-watch,  probably wont.

When it was live my thought was "oh man one of those 2 have it."  Crap happens sometimes, this was just a bad time for it to happen.

You're 100% correct about Chandler. Watched him a lot at UNC games and he can flat out fly!

I noticed this live. He's definitely a player. Every time he touches the ball good things happen.

And that blitz was just as much on Dobbs as it was on Chandler. RBs aren't supposed to be able to maintain their blocks on a pass rusher but for a beat or two. Dobbs throws the ball at the back of his drop, there's no issue.

That Chandler tackle reminded me that there was a Bronco 6th round rookie who didn't get a chance in the backfield until he started flashing by making big time tackles on special teams. Chandler may not be Terrell Davis, but he needs more touches. I'm hoping KOC's comment "we're going to have to put other guys in the game that have ball security" means Chandler starts against Chicago.

I'm not sure what exactly it is about Chandler that's not making him 'the man', but its way past time to do that.....

Some of these coaches, like Zimmer, choose to play their friends over better talent, which almost always ends up like Zimmer.

Some times they just play the guy with the bigger salary, which never made any sense. In this case I think it's a matter of picking up the blitz and stunts on pass plays, because there appears to be a substantial difference in speed. Mattison appears to get up to the line with indecision. I don't know if he can't see the holes or what. But he seems to hesitate at the line a lot.
