Vikings still haven't scored a rushing TD?

Again...why not look at trading for a fresh Dalvin Cook, especially if the Jets pick up a portion of his salary? He knows the offense, is a much better pass catcher than either Mattison or Akers, and our running game has just not gotten off the ground and at some point (if we are in it late) we are going to need it.

A  trade for a RB or WR (RZ specialist) before the deadline makes sense.

As long as the price is low.

because he is toast,  he isnt even as good as the guy that led the league in negative rushes last year.  if we are going to be giving up draft capital,  find somebody that is going to be here and fill that role for a few years,  not some washed up players trading on their successes of the past.  lets focus on the future for once.

Not sure how to get x links to preview (sidenote really wish that was easier...), but in this thread as we lament the current state of our RB game, I figured I'd share this AD highlight reel I came across. Dude was a beast!!! Not trying in any way to hold our current RBs to that standard, but it was fun for me to watch the highlights versus what I see watching the Vikings and actually, about any other team in the league right now. AD was just different. Great memories of him getting loose and busting off rippers.

One of the best to ever play the game. Nobody had his combination of speed and power. He was superhuman.

I agree but it depends on "how in" we are on this season because Cook IS an upgrade to what we have currently in the backfield and he's plug and play. You think Kirk wouldn't love to have Dalvin back?

Fran Tarkenton was once asked how often he would like to throw the ball, His response; 1st down, 2nd down, 3rd down, and 4th down if they let me.
