I'm not a surgeon or anything, but cmon....eight surgeries....EIGHT....and Sugarman defends every one of them.  Zimmer doesn't on the other hand...sounds like he's "done" with surgeries.

After a while I'd imagine scar tissue builds up, and that can't be good.

we finally get a good head coach, and he's gotta battle this nonsense.

get better Zim, this franchise needs you

That article is the first one that i've read that really explained what happened in detail.

He was complaining about "flashers" in his eye the night before the Bears game. During the game, the wind blew his laminated playcard into his eye, scratching it. They say he was lucky the playcard hit him in the eye, because it kind of forced him to get it looked at.

His issue started before the "scratch," and it gave team doctors a bit of an in to check it out. Sugarman scheduled him an 8 AM appointment. Zim gave in but was still reluctant, saying he'd be outta there "by 8:30." Next thing he knows, he's seeing a retina specialist.

Maybe the story did come out a while ago, but i just never read it. Ive been thinking the truth was he chucked a pencil at Norv in the locker room and it came back or something!

I don't blame him. After a point, you get fed up. He has done what he needed to do. Hell, he missed a game as coach and he has never done that. I remember watching him talk about how difficult it was to do that. It is ridiculous how many surgeries he has had. I know sometimes things don't go as planned but this is just insane. I am rooting for his recovery.
