how can that be roughing the passer when he wasnt passing the ball?  if they are going to allow fakes,  then they need to allow defenders to hit who they think has the ball.  It was a hell of a fake,  but I dont see the flag unless it was for landing on him with full weight??

Could be the refs have tunnel vision and see what isn't really there as in roughing.  But to save them from picking up a flag they call roughing.  So many calls can change the outcome of a game it's frustrating watching sometimes.

This isn't the sharpest guy on the field.

The QB had stopped playing and the rest of the team was going the other way.

maybe it wasn't ruled "roughing the passer", maybe it was ruled "roughing the hand-off-er"

You can't tackle the QB!

If you think he has the ball you most certainly do.  You can't excessively tackle the QB,   but was that excessive?  It wasn't a pass,  but it certainly could have been a play action pass and he was hiding the ball which IMO makes him fair game.  No different than QBs running the option are fair game.  The only thing I could maybe see called there was unnecessary roughness for landing on the QB,  but I see Kirk get hit with unnecessary force every week and it goes uncalled.
