Trade Kirk to the Jets NOW

So the Jets would be giving up next years first for Cousins and giving up next years 2nd for Rodgers?   I highly doubt it.

the 2nd to the puke is a sunk cost,  shouldnt factor into this equation at all.  The only thing they should be asking themselves is would a learn on the job Kirk be significantly better than Wilson who knows the offense already,  but doesnt have the experience.  If you have a roster that is SB ready and you think Kirk puts you over the top... you trade that first and focus on this year every day IMO.

I doubt they’ll trade a first round pick for one season of Kirk, but I’d be surprised if they didn’t offer us a third. Would KAM/the Wilfs okay that just to start the tank? Unlikely. Would I? Maybe. Especially if we lose next week and GB, DET keep winning.

would you trade a first for a great shot at a superbowl?  if that roster is truly just a QB upgrade away from being that good,  then you do it every time IMO unless you have a mahomes on the bench that will likely put you right back there next year regardless.

Jets coach Saleh even said he would be surprised if Rodgers didn't try and come back next season.  So would they really sacrifice picks to get Cousins with the possibility of Rodgers next season.  I know it's a long shot for Rodgers to return given his age but with him it may just be an ego thing that an injury isn't going to end his career.

No fan wants to tank for draft picks, so everyone suggesting that should just get your cheese hats and see yourselves out.

There's no future in that for Kirk. He'd be left holding his sack when A-Aron comes back next year holding the American flag. It makes no sense for either franchise to give Kirk away for less than his value, and the Jets having a washed up gimp expecting to come back while a better alternative that you signed on a band-aid half year deal is standing there in your locker room.This is the most ill conceived scenario ever dreamed up in 3 seconds.

I wouldn’t say it makes no sense for the Vikings. But I agree, it doesn’t for the Jets. The cost is too high for such a short stint. Trade would be unprecedented and is therefore unlikely.

The Jets just need to see Zach Wilson helping them waste this year's opportunity for a few weeks and they'll pony up the first for a one year rental.  Rodgers isn't even a consideration.  A 40 year old trying to rehab an achilles is the longest of long shots and Kirk isn't signed past this year.

Sure he could invoke the no trade but why?  He can see they don't plan to keep him past this year.  He can see the Jets have a championship caliber defense.  So why not take a shot at a title there, cuz the purple sure as heck aren't going anywhere this year.
