Just go to Vikings.com and review their entire roster. I don't gain a lot of confidence looking at it, lol. Lots of young guys and unknowns really need to pop to make this thing work. Not saying it can't work or that it won't work.....I'm saying on its face there's plenty of question marks and uncertainty. I don't question anyone having doubts. But this could very well be the one-year in this competitive rebuild that the team takes a step back to take two forward. I think its by design to set the table and get some breathing room cap-wise.
I'm still staying with my 9 win prediction, but it wouldn't be the worst thing if they came up short of that to get TQBOTF in next Spring's Draft.
Careful now Sticky, you don't want to be accused of being negative. Nobody wants to hear it unless you think this team is winning 12 games and going to the Super Bowl...
Reality is this is a paper thin roster lacking depth almost everywhere. Secondary, offensive line, defensive line, and arguments could be made for other positional groups..

I agree with you there. The dept behind the starters is pretty horrid. Pray the team doesn't suffer a slew of injuries to the starters or this season will be a bust.
I am not thrilled with our starting front 7 (mainly the front 3 and the two LB'ers) and think we will be heavily run on.
In reverse of that, our interior OFF line has to improve in both run and pass protection and I have my doubts that they will improve by that much. Cleveland and Bradford are who they are at this point and Ingram going into his second season everyone expects a big jump but it is a jump from literally the bottom on NFL Guards.
I also see around 9 wins (with a window between 7-10 wins)
All fair takes I’d say.
Run game- we downgraded at RB and didn’t improve the line. Josh Oliver would have to be out of this world in order for our already suspect run game to imrpove. Likely downgrade.
Front 7- Suspect at best.
Secondary- See front 7.
OL- slight improvement hopefully but a big question mark.
Passing game- Should improve with Addison plus a more comfortable Kirk and Hockenson. TE and WR rooms looks solid.
Kicking- Hopefully Joseph can be even better this year.
ST- who knows.
Basically, for the Vikings to win games I think we’ll have to throw a ton and be efficient doing it. A lot will fall on Kirk’s shoulders this year. I do think he’s up to the challenge but it’s going to absolutely be a challenge.
Regardless, a good passing offense should make for a lot of fun this season. I don’t think a Super Bowl is on the menu for this year so a fun ride is what I’m hoping for. Oh, and beat the Packers.
I don’t think this is a SB team. It seems with us deciding not to extend Cousins that we’re reloading.
You can’t find out who our new stars are going to be without them playing.

Supa, you wanna know the difference? Like most of us, Sticky calls out both the positives and the negatives as he sees them. Whether it's about ownership, the GM, the QB, the coaching staff, the draft....when nearly 100% of your posts are negative, it's hard to take you seriously. You come across as a crank with an agenda.
There are still holes which is to be expected when you have to clear cap and start over with young guys. There is both positive and negative. You can be reasonable and realistic and still see reasons for optimism.
On paper, the Lions are the superior team. X and O’s I think we have a marked advantage with KOC and BFlo.
I see a .500 team as a floor with a decent chance to be 9-10 wins or better that should contend in this division.
Our offense is going to score enough points to win most NFL games, there is no doubt. It may come down to how many big plays our d gives up, but my money is on BFlo to make this d competitive. I predict 10 wins or more for this club.
Last year Cousins had an amazing year and was incredibly clutch in the big moments which I think was a major part of our success, along with the playmakers he had in JJ, Cook, Thielen and then TJ. I think the team is really underestimating what Cook meant to the team and the leadership that Thielen provided. Those are big losses that combined with the incredible lack of depth on this team are going to be hard to overcome.
