He's another guy who couldn't anchor, so not surprised to hear him trying to defend Bradbury
Did you watch the film? Sullivan was first team all pro in 2012 and was a damn good center. Love that you are here and contribute so much, but you are so over the top negative on stuff you disagree with.
I watched probably 90% of the games Sully ever played in. I'm a Notre Dame fan and watched every snap he played in college and while he was on the Vikings. He was a decent, undersized center who struggled to anchor against bigger bodies. His body didn't hold up and injuries forced his exit from the Vikings and eventually out of the league. So no, I'm not being over the top negative and find his defending of Bradbury getting "thrown out of the club" amusing.
Personally I will go with the opinion of a former NFL center over The Longship's wanna be GM.
Fuck off. Talk about an uncalled for shot. You are the typical dweller on here that if it ain't all fluffy purple clouds all the time in Vikings land you pipe up from the peanut gallery and try to sabotage the conversation with bullshit like this.
this is what we are talking about. it doesnt have to be all positive and rays of sunshine, but lets get serious, when you continuously harp on the the GM and how hes an idiot, you come off as a wannabe. Shouldnt we all have fun here and not pretend we know more than Pro’s and scouts?
I don't agree with the direction of the franchise, our current path, or the people we've hired. I didn't agree with the firing of Rick Spielman. I don't believe in the competitive rebuild model and I provide facts and logic to back up my arguments. There's just a faction on here that when or if you disagree with anything related to this team, will jump on you because they don't want to hear it even if it's the truth smacking them in the face. And let's not pretend scouts or "pro's" know more then anybody else. There's changeover for failure in this league every year. If they all knew "what they were doing" they'd all have lifetime deals. It's the equivelant of saying the dunce in the White House "must know what he's doing because he was hired and has the job" without questioning. It's blind homerism, and that's fine if that's your thing. It's not mine.
Dude, you're a broken record. Doesn't have anything to do with homerism or being Pollyanna. Your borderline weird about it. The season is coming, lets all chill a bit and see how September/October goes.....raging against the machine in August, smh.
Again, see above. Nice to hear more of the faction piping up though Sticky

I'm all about keeping it real as a fan.....but I also want to see how 4 or 5 games go first. That's really my point, at least for me. I worry, like you, about the interior of the O-line. And there's little doubt Bradbury gets his ass handed to him, more than I'm comfortable with.

I feel ya supafreak, I was an ardent supporter of Spelly right to the end and recommended not throwing the baby out with the bathwater. But in hindsight I understand that when your GM and HC don't talk for weeks then it is up to the GM to change that or fire the coach that he hired.
I am also tempered by Kwesi and said it day 1 and he hasn't proven that he is even average after a short time, a year plus. I don't really give Kwesi too much credit or any for hiring KOC which many folks on here do. Our front office had already whittled down the HC position to I think 3 people (one being unrealistic Harbaugh) and I am sure gave Kwesi a strong push to hire KOC. I think KOC was already lined up, but we couldn't hire him until after the Rams won the Superbowl which was about 2 weeks after we hired Kwesi - again indication to me that KOC was already strongly recommended to a first time GM Too early to judge but Kwesi's first two drafts look pretty bad. The only move that I give him full credit for is the Hock trade which I think is going to awesome once we sign him.
I did like the hiring of KOC because we needed an offensive minded HC after years of the downtrodden defensive HC Zimmer whose act grew very tiresome, and I wanted fired 3 years before he was. KOC has been done better than I expected. It seems to have opened up Kirk and brought out his best.
Being 13-4 last season was a huge surprise to me but that was a Spelly/Zimmer team that felt the weight of of them - IMO. Still 13-4 is outstanding. That 4th loss to the Giants just brought back bad memories of how unbalanced our team was for having 13 wins. Really, the stars lined up (thank you star Jefferson. We lost to the second worst team in the playoffs us being the worst for losing to them.
It is obvious that our offense is pretty much all leftovers from Spelly/Zimmer while this season our Defense front 7 has been gutted and filled with Kwesi/KOC guys other than 3rd rounder Hunter. All new Corners and other than Harry two other late round gems from Spelly 4th round Bynum and 6th round Mettellus assuming he is our third safety after the accolades he has received this year within Flores Defense.
So, I would say that just like drafted players (3 years) Kwesi's tenure is way too early, but his stamp is pretty much on the defensive side for this coming season so let's see how we do.
Still think our two biggest weaknesses that we haven't really addressed (with limited resources/cap) are IOL and our front 7 on Defense but we shall see. I would not be surprised if Ingram continues to suck wind in preseason (mainly tonight) we will bring in a guy like Risner.
Anyway, I understand your consternation with our beloved Vikings I feel the same way. We all want the same thing and express it differently that is for sure.

Speaking of Rick, I listen to NFL Radio regularly during the week. They had a caller yesterday on the evening show asking about the Vikings and when Pat Kirwin (former NFL GM) would consider them "legitimate" for this upcoming season. Kirwin's response was that he could not believe with Aaron Rodgers finally gone, why the Vikings were not "all-in" on this season and allowed so many veterans and key pieces to leave. He thought losing Dalvin Cook was a huge loss and that we had problems on our interior offensive line and defensive line. At one point Kirwin goes, "let me ask you something...do you think this would be the case if Rick Spielman was still running things....the answer is HELL NO and he would have been all in on the season." He basically though we were handing the division to the Lions on a silver platter.
I know that will probably offend the senses of the sensitive few on here, but I'm just passing along information.
Supa, opinions are like noses, everyone has one. Does not matter if fans differ in their opinions, really. Can't even buy a cup of coffee with the MOST STELLER, COMPLETELY INFORMED opinion EVER. No need to be on a high horse, your ideas are accepted or rejected by readers as they see fit. Life on a discussion board!
Relax and enjoy the brotherhood and sisterhood of Viking fans. We'll agree on some things and differ in others. Bottom line, we want the team to win and eventually capture that elusive Lombardi. None of us are part of Viking management so our opinions have zero impact on their decisions. Shrug, have a good day! Vikes play tonight!

Nonsense. Rick isn't that stupid.
Look, you can't keep paying declining players huge sums of money into their middle 30s. But I don't see the moves Kwesi made as particularly wise or astute either. They're just moves every GM in the NFL would've made.

Congratulations, winning the North gets you picking in the mid 20s and you still end up most likely 1 and done in the playoffs. If that's the goal of any GM and they would carry and extend players on the decline to make that happen I wouldn't want any part of that. I dont agree with the competitive rebuild, but I would have thought going all in on this season was about as bad a move a GM could have made and would have been calling for his head immediately. I still dont see a real plan from KAM besides clearing cap space, but its better than taking a deeply flawed team and trying to make a 1 year run.

I feel ya supafreak, I was an ardent supporter of Spelly right to the end and recommended not throwing the baby out with the bathwater. But in hindsight I understand that when your GM and HC don't talk for weeks then it is up to the GM to change that or fire the coach that he hired.
Well that's was the contention in their conversation was that you have Cousins for one more year, the division is down with Aaron Rodgers finally leaving, so why are the Vikings releasing key pieces and leadership when we should be pouncing on this opportunity and ADDING to this flawed team from last season in an effort to get over the hump. Right now we've made a lot of lateral moves from a personnel standpoint and lost a top 5 RB who had a major impact in a lot of these one score games we pulled out last season. I understand Kirwins rationale there, even if I don't necessarily agree with it
