I'm sorry...are people actually blaming this on Kwesi?

Really?

It's just fuggin' amazing, sometimes.  Truly.
We just drafted the kid and thusfar he's shown a ton of immaturity and now poor decision making. Who should get the fuggin' blame then if he busts?
Your'e overreacting. To a ridiculous level.

I'm not saying he's gonna be a bust, and few are saying that (and too many are jumping to conclusions to begin the blame game). My hope is that this turns out to be a blessing in disguise.  Possibly this public embarrassment and humiliation (and let's assume that the Vikings are going to apply some kind of public penance to him, if they haven't scolded the hell out of him already in private), that he might strive to be a quiet overachiever.

I admit that I am not a fan of public displays of wealth or attention (such as his outfit on draft night), so maybe he needed to be knocked down a notch.

Regardless, nobody is going to go out of their way to buy an Addison jersey anytime this year.

As it is, it is both a distraction and embarrassment.  With TC starting today for rookies, let's just see what happens.

Yah, I want to see how he handles himself going forward.

Ive cooled down a bit since it came out. The franchise needs this kid to succeed and contribute.

Lol bro you just laid out all the immaturity in a prior post! I'm just saying if he continues and he busts, its not going to look good for the golden child. But yeah....ridiculous level overreaction. Addison needs to clean up his act. This team needs him and nobody is rooting against him. Completely fair though to question what went into the decision to draft him on the heels of this incident.

Completely fair. Not.

Yeah, don't blame the kid, don't blame typical young male exuberance, don't blame the NFLPA that's supposed to coach these kids against these exact behaviors, as are their agents...

...nope, it's gotta be one more reason to blame the GM that helped us to a 5-win improvement in his first season.

First day on the board?  :p

Fair point, I forgot the inevitability of melodrama-mamas.

Well of course it's the kids fault, but there's been a clear pattern of immaturity from the day he was drafted and going full on Henry Ruggs down the highway at 3 am is the most recent and glaring. If there's a behavior issue, how did that slip through the cracks being that we just drafted him and had him in our facility pre draft on a top 30 visit!? If the signs were there and we had ample opportunity to vet sources, then you are damn right it's Kwesi's fugg up and its not a good look after his totally lackluster, non-impactful draft of last year. He is a Viking because it was Kwesi's decision to make him a Viking and spend a 1st round pick on him. Not sure how some of you want to hold Kwesi harmless in this equation. Let's all just hope this is the end of things and Addison gets his shit straight and becomes a contributor for us..

Can say the same thing about your post, seems kind of hypocritical.

After watching the draft and interview of Addison did anyone else "Cringe".

That he weighed 174lbs didn't make it better.

Now the "uh-oh Kwesi can't see past his analytics" is becoming apparent.
The Wilfs took a huge swing on him at least partially for political reasons and thusfar he hasn't done anything to prove he knows what he is doing from a personnel standpoint. "Out of the box" hire is putting it mildly. If this Addison pick blows up...how long do we stick it out with this guy and his "competitive rebuild?" Knowing the Wilfs it will probably be at least a few years longer then it should to the detriment of all of u
Kwesi has made 2 stellar moves IMO, hiring KOC and trading for Hockenson.

As for the rest, it's still in the yet to be determined category.

Due to  roster changes this offseason, young players are gonna be playing meaningful snaps this season

And by the end of 2023, fans will have a more clear picture.

As for the Wilfs', it's coming up on 20 years with them as owners.

Can we agree they've been slow learners?
Depends where you set the bar and what constitutes good owners?

Good Franchise Culture
Competitive on the field
Context: Wilfs vs predecessors (Gang of 10 & Red McCombs)
Exemplary facilities
Exemplary Stadium
Strong ties to state/local community today and tomorrow

Do I want 1 Lombardi b4 I meet my maker? Hell yes after rooting for this team for 50+ years.

We may not get it better than current ownership in our lifetimes.

I know they are a little "woke" here for some, but overall I really cant complain or call for a change.

The grass aint always greener elsewhere.

Yes, I did lay out a few things that alarmed me about Addison. But so many of you see things only in black and white. If it doesn't fit one "camp" or another, or one accepted agenda or another, you don't understand it.

But cringing at Addison's money suit and his draft day phone etiquette is a far cry from indicting the GM, the coach and the entire scouting staff for blowing our first round draft pick.
