You want to talk DeSantis?

Actually, I've done far more than that, sorry if that spoils your assumptions.  Starting with the original article in Business Insider, I've watched the pattern of orange boi essentially cozying up to our adversaries and treating our allies like vermin, tripping over his endlessly-wagging tongue to "schmooze" every asshat dictator in North Korea, Russia, China, and so forth while snarling at NATO, etc...and then insisting that already-ramping up investments by our allies were all his doing.

Kinda like the economy uptick, which was shown to have started under Obama...but, whoops, nope, the Sunkist savior would never admit that (or anything, unless utterly cornered about pu$$y grabbing).

I don't agree that the country was better under him, I think that was complete illusion that is wildly clung to by strangely delusional.  He was, and remains, a complete embarrassment, a bumbling clown that can't admit any mistake and immediately points to anyone/everyone else when he's caught, over and over and over again, being full of $hit.  It's demeaning, and makes the whole country look like a clown college for the challenged.

I've been very, consistently clear that I despise both "main" treason clubs, and that hasn't changed.  I've despised Biden forever, and his parts in NDAA bills and similar issues furthered domestic surveillance and ironically helped to create the very police state that his party railed against after George Floyd.  He's useless without his teleprompter, he's a shallow, partisan, entitled old jerk on his best days, and gets a huge number of passes from being in the party that enjoys mutual reach-arounds from most of the press corps.  THAT SAID...he's not a pissy, pathetic, little worm of a semi-man that is basically the very piggish face of "cancel culture" (BOYCOTT THE NFL! BUBBA WALLACE RUINED NASCAR! (still wondering how)) and anyone still believing in his "stolen election" bibble-babble, which has been blown apart by essentially everyone including the GOP's own installed judges, should likely not be operating devices using anything dangerous as electricity.

I'm used to the American public insisting on morons, and/or unaccountable and corrupt figureheads.  The fact that so many blindly follow one who's loudly full of crap, constantly shown to be so, and still is leading polls...well, it's hard to see the redcaps as functional humans.
I guess I don't understand how you think that your argument is fortified with the childish comments and overreach in your evaluation of Trump's faults.  He clearly is / was more feared by Russia and China than the guy in charge now.  His results were strong in nearly every area of measure.  His instincts on Covid, Foreign Policy, Immigration, Energy, Crime, and every facet of our national well-being were proven right over time.  You cite two very minor and inconsequential areas where Trump made stupid statements.  Even if I agree with you that he sticks his foot in his mouth far too often, it's pennies on the dollar to the out and out incompetence we're witnessing today.

He was also undermined his entire term in office in an effort to ruin him.  It would be impossible for him to succeed without fighting back.  His choice of words in doing so is sometimes off-mark.  His evaluation of what's occurring is spot on.   So, it's fine if you want to use pure demagogue in your description of Trump, but it doesn't do your argument any favors.  Your entire thread has been riddled with a continuous rant.  There's no use trying to have a factual conversation with the style you're using.
So he was undermined his entire first term,  the powers to be ( from both sides of the aisle ) combined to prevent him from being re-elected,  yet there are still a large percentage of conservatives that think he is the best candidate to somehow remove Biden from office and return a conservative to the white house?  Trump has his chance, and despite a lot of positives he failed as a president,  he failed because he was unable to be presidential and move the needle with those swing voters,  he failed because he couldnt shut the fuck up and always was more than happy to give the media a sound bite they could use against him.  he failed because he insisted in trying to always show that he was the smartest in the room when often the smartest thing would have been to just either defer to his aides and cabinet,  or to just shut the fuck up.   If he was really all about America and putting her back on top,  he would have put himself 2nd once in a while in an effort to make himself more electable for all those that just couldnt stomach his arrogance.

I voted for the dip shit twice, but I hope like hell I never have to do it again.  There are several candidates that could represent the conservative platform quite well and I think if the conservatives in this country really want to get rid of Biden,  its going to start with moving on from Trump.
I agree that I'm looking for a better "conservative" candidate, but I don't fully agree that he failed as a president.  Who could succeed when the entire apparatus of govt. tried to undermine him with lies for his entire tenure.  Think about the hurdles that he and I fear every conservative for now on face.  You have a press and a govt that will utilize any and all tactics including out and out fabrication of stories, two sets of rules in justice, and rigging of elections on a massive scale.  I'm not sure how anyone could be in office that isn't willing to fight.  Trump handled some things wrong, but he isn't / wasn't the core problem, and how can anyone not lose their mind, when every single institution he dealt with is corrupt to the core?
he had 4 years to find some humility and endear himself to those swing voters that he didnt have the first go round,  instead he doubled down on the hubris and as such alienated the swing vote that he did have that allowed him to get in the first time.  he was so arrogant about winning the presidency,  what he didnt realize was that he didnt win it.... Hillary lost it,  if the dems had put up anybody close to a decent person, Trump would have never been elected.  His winning card was he wasnt Hillary.

The excuses never end, even when the last batch get blown apart.

I'll never agree that Russia feared him at all, especially after he managed to lose both Bolton and Mattis...either of which wash off more military intelligence in a morning shower than Trumplestilskin could possess in a lifetime.  All anyone has to do to get around orange boi is placate his ego, maybe thank him for a Big Mac.

I've found him to be a babbling imbecile for over 3 decades, and I've never, ever begun to understand why anyone would be a fan, or supporter.  I just can't imagine it...and he has fans among my family, but they're exactly the same when I ask for any explanation/defense of his rants/babble/gaffes: blame the press, blame the "system", blame anyone but him.

It's always everyone else, which is worrisome as hell.  It sure as hell looks like cultish programming.  In the case of MTG, obviously some serious damage happened to her hard drive during installation, likely due to "Jewish Space Lasers".  She'll check with the IT department at the next white nationalist rally for assistance.

As for DeSantis...the way he's going, he might be irrelevant by the holidays.  It turns out that just being part of some headline-grabbing ridiculousness and babbling about Trump isn't enough to get to the top of the polls.

Yet Trump's foreign policy was pretty much a smashing success by every measure.  ISIS contained, Russia no activity, China no activity, NATO payments, Mideast Peace.  Crazy how lucky he got that everything just seemed to turn out right.  It's kind of ironic that you label Trump a babbling idiot.  Do you really think Trump doesn't have a legitimate gripe against the press and against the govt agencies that continuously undermined him?  I mean it was only proved by Durham and Trump collusion proved a farce by Mueller and his eighteen liberal hitmen lawyers.

You seem only able to rant negatively about the Republican candidates.  Who will you be voting for?

You have to be joking.

"The overarching policy to combat ISIS was begun under President Barack Obama, when on Oct. 17, 2014, the Department of Defense established Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve, a coalition of more than 60 partners. According to O’Hanlon, “Many of the successes of the air campaign, the tightening on movements of ISIS money and people, occurred under Obama.”Recaptured land is only one measure for gauging the coalition effort. According to U.S. Air Forces Central Command data, as of the end of February, two-thirds of the sorties in which at least one weapon was released took place under Obama. And nearly 60 percent of the more than 100,000 missiles, bombs and other explosives released during the campaign came under Obama as well.
Curiously, Trump starts the clock for the turnaround at the date of his election, rather than when he took office."

So, yeah, if you ignore 2/3 of the previous efforts...(cough)

Just like so many other things he insisted all got better because of him, like the economy and unemployment, which both had started trending upward well before he got elected.

It's babble for the vacant, and sadly...there's plenty of vacancy under those red caps.

His foreign policy?  I like that he was basically tough on China, though Covid did a lot of that work for him his last year in office.  The NATO payments are curious as hell, because they also had been trending upward...but under Trump, we also spent more money in Europe, so...?  Very mixed message.

His policies toward Russian and North Korea were, and remain, horrible jokes.

Mideast peace has not happened in my over 50 years on this rock, and still hasn't.  Trump gave the exit window for Afghanistan, so I hold him partially responsible for that debacle.

I can't fathom the passes given to him.  Honestly, 5 seconds of research blows holes in those statements....

Five seconds of erroneous research I guess.  Lol.  Did they talk in that article about Obama's failed line in the sand comments?  Did they mention that ISIS was ended by Trump.  Did they talk about the lead terrorist from Iran taken out which stopped them in their tracks?   You have yet to communicate one relevant fact at this point, and still won’t go out on a limb and tell us who the better alternative is. You'll take this news and use it as evidence that he's corrupt.  I take it as the DOJ and Biden are corrupt.  Let's be honest, he's being targeted.  But, I'm pretty sure you can't be intellectually honest about him, much like the other crazed orange man haters.

You actually posted a link from "Faux Nooz", a network so blatantly full of biased bulls**t that they just paid the better part of a billion dollars (so far) for projecting that fictional stupidity into the airwaves...?

That, by itself, says anything and everything that needs saying, ever, about your grasp of information, facts, and/or real data regarding the pu$$y grabbing buffoon.

This is the biggest irony since he named his "by lying morons, for lying morons" digital echo chamber "Truth".
