The Steelers seems good with Pickett as their starter. Picked #20 overall in last year's draft. This will obviously be a pivotal year for him to hold onto that role, so nothing in concrete but they seem to have some optimism for him. Shows a guy can be picked outside the top 5. Will be interesting to watch his development.

Loved Kenny Pickett coming out. I watched the '22 class and the '23 class all together and I thought he was right there with Levis and Young among the best of that group. Could never really figure out why he wasn't considered a better prospect by the NFL.

Steelers are in a down cycle now, but I think they're the best drafting team in the NFL (Najee notwithstanding). It won't take long to get back up. Pickett to Pickens could be a top combo for years.

Many of these draft 'evaluators' ding a prospect pretty hard on arm strength or lack thereof. So stupid. Its such a small factor in the NFL game. Yes, you see a guy like Mahomes with a big arm, but he's also accurate. Mobile. Smart decisions. Great offense. Excellent HC. So many busts have arms that can throw a football to the moon. I think that's what happened with Pickett. Yeah, you can't have a noodle arm, but that's actually pretty rare.

Arm strength matters greatly. The more a qb can fire a ball in there, the more margin for error, so there's a sliding scale. If they have no accuracy, they can throw a football through a wall and it doesn't really matter, but having good arm strength lets the qb be slightly off target without int's happening too frequently.
