Blowing it up and rebuilding after RS got canned was obvious to anyone who has followed the NFL for more than 5 minutes. That’s what the Bears guy proposed and the Wilfs balked. Now they have picks and an up and coming QB and we have um… um…
I firmly believe KAM is hamstrung by the Wilfs.

What the hell is this about? LOL.
I too would like to know.
A few here are very comfortable saying “that is a bad pick or a reach” and justify their statement by saying “I had him going in round “X” or “ he was not in my top “X” or “they should have picked a ”. They also find it fashionable dismissing projections from paid talking heads (not like thats a big deal)
I did not know we had NFL team scouts and draft analysts here. Its ok to have opinions and come up with all that stuff but lets be real

Guess I need to follow the NFL for more than 5 minutes. So what the hell is this about? I've been in and out all day. What did I miss?

Kwesi did not pick the players they had on their boards for their fav team

I am not particularly a Kwesi fan but this I know:
1. I am not a fan of winning the draft and ending up with mediocre players 2-3 years later or players that cant get a second deal.
2. I remember people on this same board hating picks that Rick made and the trading yet Rick is now heralded as the guru. You cant have it both ways.
3. Like many here have said, no one has a clue how a player ends up. All we have at best are educated guesses or at worst biased opinions
4. All the players we say we should have drafted are based on opinion thats not even based on a fraction of the work the team and scouts have done before making their decision and also factored in where they think the team needs help - something no one here knows. So please give them the benefit of doubt
5. I was told by many hear it takes 3-4 years to evaluate a draft class so Ill wait then before passing judgement
With that said, was the draft a buzz kill from a flashy player standpoint? Yes it was. blBut does that mean we drafted the wrong players? No one knows at this point. So give the new draft class a chance
I agree largely with mblack with one exception -- I do think we have a criteria for judging Kwesi's in draft trades -- the various draft pick value charts. I have only quickly looked at a couple of Kwesi trade downs and they don't fair well against these various charts. Has he ever gotten more value in return for a draft day trade?
As I said in another thread, I think Kwesi's draft pick trade down issue is he only sees the trade from his perspective. Say he has pick #20 and he feels strongly that the player he wants still will be available at pick #30. If he gets a call from the team with pick #30, in Kwesi's mind any trade will meet the analytics because Kwesi will still get the pick he wants at #30 and he will pick up an additional pick or 2. In Kwesi's analytical mind, that is a win. What Kwesi fails to measure is how much the other team wants to move up, so Kwesi is not extracting the most compensation for moving down -- hence, objectively through the draft pick value chart, Kwesi is not making good trades.

His team went 13-4. He hired a great coach. He’s going to resign the best WR in the league. He made the 2nd best trade in Viking history when he got Hock
KAM hasn’t looked great in April to FANS, but he isn’t going anywhere.
And the 2nd worst!
Second worst?
1. Herschel Walker2. Detroit 2022
Lol if you consider that the second worst trade you really need to get your emotions in check. It's really clouding your judgement.

Also, if Cine, Booth, and Evans are healthy, there will be 5 starters from the 2022 draft on week 1 2023 (Ingram and Asamoah). Oh that's just awful. And Addison at #2 WR.
First, it's a big if whether all 3 will be healthy starters, let alone productive. Also, if Cine, Booth and Evans are healthy starters we just wasted 2 higher picks this year on CB's with bigger needs at LBer, DT, depth at C, etc. One on an undersized guy after getting rid of a proven Duke Shelley, supposedly for not being the right size in Flores' scheme. Asamoah, has done nothing yet, and is Addison really better than Osbourne?

His team? Hardly, his contributions to the team last year were largely non existent with the exception of Hock, who only joined the team mid season. We aren't going to see kams team until this year at the soonest. 13-4 was largely still with ricks players.
using your logic….
Yet Rick’s players and Rick’s coach could not win 10 games and missed out if the playoffs two times in a row.
I wonder what changed?
Its also funny we have to wait two years to see Kwesi’s impact on the team when it’s time to give credit but we are very comfortable bashing him for a draft that is not even over or for last years draft.
Many point to Cine not contributing much in year one but I remember a certain Chad Greenway missing his rookie season. He turned out just fine. I am not saying Cine will be as successful or better than Chad or. that Kwesi is a draft guru. Just saying we should calm down.
It’s not like all GMs dont have hits and misses
Just saying…

last year he allowed the Lions to move up 20 spots in the first round for a handful of peanuts. Here's a chance for you to beat that blunder. Name one worse.

Your comment is spot on. Kwesi even said that many times. Maybe he changes his approach soon.
He somehow thinks his only worry is making the Vikings better. He for some reason does not yet think preventing the opposition getting key players is part of the equation.
Again, I agree with the trade value comment. I think that’s something that gets better with time (and hopefully real soon) as he establishes himself and validates his process (hitting on his picks and roster construction)
