It's wild to think that he was starting games for them and there were people wondering if Philly should replace him a couple years ago. They were obviously smart to stick with him. Much like Josh Allen, his growth has been impressive (like the article says). Coaching matters! Hopefully KO can be that kind of coach for us.

So is revenue $$.

I think Jimmy's right about one thing: the only thing that really matters is percentage of salary cap. Don't have that number for Hurts yet, but that number hasn't really been increasing much that I can tell. It generally hovers between 12 and 16 percent for most top QBs. Right now, Mahomes leads the way with 17%. But Peyton Manning was 18.8% way back in 2009.

I am not a fan, but I give him a lot of credit, when he was benched for Tua, which I did not think was fair, there was some chatter about him moving to another position, but he never gave up on his vision.  He stuck with it, left an unhealthy situation at Alabama and entered the NFL to much less fanfare than his two college teammates - Tua and Mac Jones, yet he has proven to a much better NFL QB than both of them.  He actually started at Philly as their 3rd stringer and a complete afterthought to Wentz.

That is some interesting accounting by the Eagles.  They sign Hurts for $255 million through 2028, but only $73.25 million hits the cap through 2026.   That leaves $181.75 million for '27-28.  I see some big void years on the end of this deal.

The Eagles know their window is wide open and they're stretching it out as long as possible.  And when the cap hits the fan in '27 they'll worry about it then.
