Daniel Jeremiah's top 50: 2023 NFL Draft prospect rankings 1.0

DJ loves him some edge rushers and tight ends in his initial top 50 draft prospects...

I know this is rankings and not a mock draft, but he has Jalin Hyatt at 23. Would NOT mind seeing Hyatt go 23rd on the big night too.

I love Hyatt and have him as my top ranked receiver in this draft. I would be shocked to see him still available at #23

I'll tell you a guy that I absolutely love who is not on DJ's top 50 is Noah Sewell. He pops on tape to me and you want a guy that is a tone setter that has some Micah Parson's type ability, it's Sewell. He would be a fun piece for an imaginative defensive coordinator.

Noah Sewell Ultimate Oregon Highlights

That would be unViking like to have a difference maker on D

Pair up him and Asamoah and you got two twitchy athletes in the middle of the defense to roam around and cause havoc.

He doesn't move like a 250+ guy. He's definitely one to watch, and at a position of need. Probably more impactful than any DL we could hope for at our draft position.

No, he certainly doesn't move like a guy that large and what I like about Sewell and Drew Sanders is they are bigger linebackers that offer scheme versatility and when they hit you, you are going down. Both very instinctive whether funneling through the wash in the run game, rushing the passer, or dropping in coverage. I think ideally we'd like to add a difference maker on our defensive line, but as you mentioned this isn't a great crop of DT's at the top and LB might be the better pick. Sewell and Sanders would be at the top of my want list

I am down for Sewell if he is there. He looks like the type of pick that can make an impact right away and that is what the D desperately  needs.
