As good as Cousins played most of the game, he will be remembered by a Checkdown Pass that had no chance for a first down. Game over. Baffling.
Much more complicated than that.  I think TJH was the first read and they went to that well one to many times.  Giants switched up their defense, KOC made a bad call and Cousins should have audibled out of the called play.
Listening to KFAN, Lawrence looped around Bradbury and Cleveland and got to Cousins before he had time to let the routes develop so he heaved it  TJ hoping for a prayer after the catch.
If that is the case, then the problem is on Bradbury and Cleveland because Cousins was not given enough time to let the other routes develop.

How the heck do we acquire a stud like Lawrence for our IDL?

KC got the s hit kicked out of him all year and he came up big. But we cant count on him being an ironman forever.

The last pass was a terrible decision, no QB is throwing that, but the blame goes to KOC for calling a play that would have your 2nd best receiver not past the 1st down marker.  Defense was awful, we knew that was going to happen, but offense just self destructed too many times.  I put this loss on KOC, just awful play calling, not sure why he insists on running screens, especially when they couldn't stop us downfield.

Meh

You’re going to blame another thing on Kirk? Was anyone else open? Had he thrown a pick, you’d be pissed about that too.

Had they won, you’d be pissed when SF blew them out next week.
It was a good season with a lot of fun games. Super Bowl wasn’t even thought of at the end of last season or the beginning of the year.

The defense let this team down, not Kirk’s last throw. At the very least, question the right things. Kirk’s play this entire year kept them in games when the defense shit the bed.
Offense was outscored the first 3 quarters all year,  the D giving up points doesn't prevent the O from answering,  all year the blame has been on the D,  but the O has repeatedly failed to answer the bell until they are down a couple score and forced to get aggressive,   some of that is play calling,  but some of that is on Kirk and the rest of the O.  Remember when the damn O is going 3 and out for a quarter or more, its the D that pays the price and they didnt need any more challenges.
2 of the 4 regular season losses the opponents scored 40 or more. The Lions hung 34 on us.  Losing to the Eagles 2nd rated defense at the beginning of the season is understandable.

Expecting this offense to keep answering the bell is a nice thought, but not realistic. The other teams also have defenses, and this offense would have to be near perfect. Of the teams still in playoff contention, 6 are in the top 10 defensively. Having the 31st rated defense makes it hard for me fathom this team actually won 13 games.

2 of the teams regular season Ioses we didn't score more than 7,  another less than 18. Let's not pretend there isn't issues on O.  I'm not saying the D doesn't need an overhaul,  but there needs to be some major looks at the O as well.

All 4 of our regular season losses were against playoff teams,   3 of the 4 we really weren't in the game and that wasn't a defensive failure alone,  our high power high drafted,  high paid O just couldn't answer the bell.

So unless Kirk and this offense put out every fire that the defense set, they've got some splainin' to do. 8 game winning drives this year just isn't really cuttin' it. To expect 1-2 defensive victories a season is too much, when the offense is maybe not playing on all cylinders or... GASP... facing a really good defense?

By the way Kansas City lost their 3 games by scoring 24, 20 and 17, to the COLTS no less. Clearly they have offensive issues! I mean how many times does 24 pts. win a damn NFL game?

GB didn’t make the playoffs.
Sorry,  meant playoff contenders,   lions didn't make it either.

No,  not imo,  Cousins had no time in the pocket all night, why was he in the same place all night when gb had nothing for pass protection once again?  Thats on KOC for not getting Kirk on the move all game and on Kirk for not using his feet to extend plays... almost ever.  Modern offenses need a QB that can do more than stand tall and sling the rock,   defensive front 7s are to athletic for QBs that want to stand in the pocket and wait for something to come open.

Zimmer only had hard ons for DB's and we settle on picking up tier 2-3 FA's instead of scouting true studs. Same has been true for interior OL. This team likes shiny things.
