Chicago tells Bears.... not so fast!

Looks like the windy city is trying to make a bid to keep the team downtown.  Not sure if this is the most financially responsible use of public funds in a town on its ass,   but its not my tax dollars so....

this looks pretty nice,  but I see it being way over budget and way pared down from what we are being shown, once the union machine in Chicago gets involved.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

I remember the story about how the workers buried in Hoover dam cuz they couldn't stop pouring once they started.  Wonder how that story will play out in downtown Chicago?

And I thought they just renovated it a few years back.  Or am I that old already?

Very reminiscent of USB inside.

Whichever stadium proposal makes the family the most $ will win.

Soldier Field with a roof? Dayum, that just doesn't sound right.

Will they still find a way to have a shitty field?

Why the hell wouldn't they? It's worked so well for them!

No mention of the fact that they are still land locked with horrible parking/tailgating area and are within city limits of ridiculous hotel/food/taxes. A destination area with more reasonably priced accommodations and restaurants with parking in the burbs with less headaches and crime makes another reinvention of Soldier Field a lot less inviting.

I thought Arlington Heights was pretty much a done deal.  Did I miss something?

Sounds like many of the the same arguments made against the  metrodome site 10+ years ago, but we know how that ended.
