Do we feel better after the game today?
#1
what i saw:

right side of oline appears serviceable. Ingram has been coming on well, Udoh has looked solid and Reed solid as well.   Reed cant make the reach blocks but has looked pretty good overall.

running game still looks to be pedestrian. i have not seen enough push to avoid 2nd and 9 or 8.

I do like the idea of using Mattison in the red zone. he looks for a crease and goes for a one cut north and south run.  if we can run the ball in the red zone, i think we can impove our scoring.

Cookie has that home run ability hat just needs to be fed until you hit the red zone.

Kirko looked really good today with good protection against a not very good rush by the Bears.  If they figure out how to keep him clean, he will punish a defense.

I think offense wins games in todays NFL. But a little about the d.  Vilma noted that the Vikes LB’s have been encouraged more lately to shoot gaps,  I think this is a huge beneficial adjustment for us that could make our d incrementally better when we need it most ie playoffs. we will keep our S’s deep so go ahead and depend on them to make those 3 rd level tackles in the run game.

Overall we should be very pleased with this team. They are a close knit bunch that onows how to win and overcome.  when was the last time we had a 13 win season??  Lets roll in feeling confident and see where our offense can take us. LFG!

I feel relieved that there are no more injuries. It had a weird preseason feeling to it. This makeshift OL definitely needed the extra reps. 13 and 4 with a first year head coach is unreal.

13-4 with a rookie GM and coach and a new defense......

No one saw this coming.

Congrats to the Vikings.

And 13 wins only gets the #3 seed and 1 guaranteed home game.... Brutal
12 wins is gonna get the cowboys a 5 seed. Wow

It was very watchable, happy with how it went only tempered by knowing it was the Bears who will be drafting 1st.   Very happy with how the season went. I like the new coach and GM, glad neither is having effigies being burnt(yet).  Hope they carry on and expand on their accomplishments.

(Reminds me of writing reviews in a OK year)

13 - 4 agree that's amazing for the new HC and GM. Definitely some bumps but what a roller coaster season.

On to the playoffs and the Giants.

Not sure if I feel better, but I don't feel worse either.  We'll see who we have to play next week, but I raise a glass to this team - Skol!
We get bonus football this year, and I'm super glad I get to see my Vikes play next weekend.  B)

Edit: I see we play the GMen.  I think we win.

This team goes as far as the defense takes us. Ed Donatell GTFO.

Don't feel better, but they won and that's great. KOC and company need to be unpredictable next week.

The bears cut the grass, felt pretty good.  Will feel better if Sass gets to see the Vikings play in Arizona
