What part of the Jets organization leads one to trust them as QB talent evaluators ? They've changed personell but remember the people saying he is a bum are rhe same ones that drafted him. Maybe rhey are really sure of their poor pick, or maybe they don't know what they are doing to start with? Consider all the holes this team has and the need for a future QB, if we could turn a mid to late round pick, especially a conditional pick based on him making the game day actives or some other bench mark, then I am all for taking a swing, I would prefer that over packaging a bunch of day 1 picks and make a run for a high round 1 pick to use on somebody equally questionable.
The kid needs to grow up, but that can happen with pretty much any pick and i cant think of a worse place than NY for an immature kid to get sent to, except maybe Vegas. Although all those Bachelorette parties in Nashville would be damn distracting as well I would imagine.

Wilson spent his whole life as big man on campus...I mean the guy took TWO BYU cheerleaders to his high school graduatio. All of a sudden he's thrust into the big lights of the NFL as well as the NY market and expected to contribute immediately. No. No way. He has a gun? His last game he had receivers wide open and didn't have the arm to get the ball to them. Why would a great coach want to take on a project QB with limitations? The Vikings already have a QB with deep ball accuracy. Better be looking for someone with the same accuracy, and some mobility if you want the Vikings to have future success.

So you are on board with drafting a unicorn? Kirk's accuracy is near the top of the game, adding mobility to his accuracy is a great goal, just dont think you find that guy in time to replace Kirk as thats about a once every 5 to 10 years type of player.

Nope, but what's the fascination with giving up a pick (or picks) for someone else's failed QB? Wilson has enough red flags to stay away... just flip on some of his games from the past two seasons and it ain't pretty. If the Jets are ready to move on, that should tell you all you need to know. They've been looking for their guy for years... and from the sounds of it... they are still looking for that guy.
If the Vikings want to get someone to groom behind Kirk, I'd rather try our luck in the draft. That's all I'm saying.

Agree with you Wetlander. No way I want to see Wilson on the Vikes. They need to find their next QB in the draft. Keep Cousins at least a couple more years and prepare his replacement.
