Bring it on. Packers, Lions, whatever. If they lose to a NFCN opponent, so be it. I'm not going to wring hands or bite my nails over any of it. The playoffs are a meritocracy and a moment in time of playing well or not. Minnesota has set themselves up for at least one home playoff game, that's great. If the Vikings get beat and the media rains down the 'I told you so's', I really don't give a shit. Saddle up and let's see how it all goes down!

Outside of the NFC South, the Vikings will be portrayed in the National Media as the weakest of the division winners. I just am hoping they keep some positive momentum going after the next 2 road games.

We are the 4th best team in the conference regardless of record behind Philly, Dallas, and San Francisco. We would be underdogs in every one of those games, even at home. I'm just trying to enjoy the ride as long as possible. There's some definite retooling that needs to be done this offseason

I would agree with that. 

The bigger quesiton in my mind is how much separation is there between the Vikings and Bucs? Or Vikings/Packers? Or Vikings vs Giants/Commanders...

I suppose on any given week, especially in the playoffs.

It's exactly the right mentality to have Sticky.  We've seen enough of this Vikings team to know we have warts.  Warts that might prevent us from making a deep playoff run.  BUT... we know what this team does well and that's finding ways to win tight games.

I think O'Connell is a good HC and smart enough to have some things cooked up for Philly and Dallas if we meet them again in the playoffs. Just gotta enjoy an amazing first year under new leadership and see what happens.

We have already beaten every team who we would be likely to play in the 1st round and the game will be at home.  We will not play GB, if we beat them they are gone if they beat us, we go to the 3rd seed and would play the #6 team instead of #7.  I think the #2 seed is everything, because it will be the difference between playing SF at home where I think we would have a chance or on the road.  Philly is going to need to get by Dallas, I predict we play Dallas at home in the championship game with a much different result than last game.

If the best team always gets to the Superbowl then we would have been there in 1998, 2000, 2009, and 2017.Are we the only team to lose to lesser teams? The 2006 Bears got there and their QB had a qbr rating of 1 when they played us.
