Chargers waive Tillery
#1
A bit of a surprise that might be worth taking a look at as a 5 technique. 1st round pick in 2019. 6'6"/295 with long arms, still only 26 years old. I still think we are majorly deficient on our interior defensive line and need to look at all options.

Players with less than four accrued NFL seasons are subject to waivers. Those with more than four accrued seasons are considered to be released and can sign with any team immediately. Players subject to waivers do not become free agents unless they go unclaimed in the waiver process.
Once a player is placed on waivers, other teams have 24 hours to place a claim.

Chargers Waive Former First-Round Pick Jerry Tillery
Tillery, a 2019 first-round pick, will not be officially waived until Friday, which makes him unavailable to be claimed by another team until Monday. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, various teams had interest in trading for the defensive lineman ahead of last week’s trade deadline, so it’s likely a team will claim him come Monday.

The 49ers tried unsuccessfully to add some reinforcements on their defensive line. They were one of eight teams to place a waiver claim on recently-released former Chargers defensive lineman Jerry Tillery according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Tillery was awarded to the Raiders.

Eight teams - Las Vegas, Detroit, Carolina, Indianapolis, San Francisco, New York Jets, New York Giants, and Kansas City - put in waiver claims for former Chargers’ first-round pick Jerry Tillery, who was assigned to the Raiders.
