AK Evans, #21 played like a stud filling in

I haven't seen Dantzler have a game like that and I like the kid.

Evans chased down Scary Terry on that 4th down ball and swatted it away.  Made BIG tackles on the edge as well as a ST tackle.

Can we please see more of him next week?  He looks to have more upside than Dantzler.

Kwesi must have a huge grin on his face today.

He definitely earned more playing time imo...

Thats the kind of youth infusion I love to see.

Yep, the kid is going to be very good.

He had a critical pass break up and some real nice tackles out there.

Yeah, he's the reason Booth isn't playing.  The 4th rounder is making plays and looks good.

Great size for a corner, very good length. You never know how a rookie will play until he gets in there.

He was phenomenal. Sticky in pass coverage, aggressive defending the run and a great, great tackler. I'm convinced Washington specifically targeted him on that 4th down call because he was new...and Evans shut it down.

Best debut as a starting corner I've seen in maybe a decade or more.

The young man is 6'2", 200 lbs. and physical.  Known as a sure tackler coming out of college and won't shy away from running backs either.

He also showed that it factor. The confidence to play aggressively win his battles. His head is in the right place. No fear. No intimidation. We will definitely see more from him as the season rolls on.

Yep he flashed big time. Between him and Hockenson and that number 99 on the d-line, it was great to see some new blood get in there and make plays!  Wink
