How good are the Vikings? Good question.

"You don't have to be around the Vikings long to feel the positive vibes. It can be felt from the stands or in the locker room. They believe in each other."

The difference is mostly attitude.  Credit KOC for the turnaround.

Are the Vikings good? You don't go 6-1 in today's NFL if you're not good. Bears beat the Pats. Saints just crushed the Raiders. Dolphins have won two straight after losing to the Vikings. And that's a pretty decent Cards team we just beat. They barely lost to the Eagles on a last minute FG a few weeks ago.

I had been thinking our record is better than we really are, but then the record is the major way you determine how good a team is. It does seem like we are improving and making plays when we need to. So, yes, I think you have to say we are good. How good remains an open question. Are we making the playoffs good? Winning a game or two in the playoffs good or Super Bowl good? I'm not ready to embrace Super Bowl good but I do think we could win a game or two in the playoffs.

Vikings are definitely a good team. On the other hand I will say the Vikings are definitely not a great team...not yet anyhow.

They remind me a little of the 2006 Bears. They kept winning games. Ugly wins, but wins. A pick here and there, a special teams turnover. No one ever saw them as a really good team. Yet, they kept winning.

Good Answer Lol!
Maybe the answer is as simple as what a Vikings assistant coach told me before the game, when asked how good the team is:
"As good as we need to be," he answered.
What a perfect description for these Vikings, who have done just enough to get by. They are not where they want to be, nor where they expect to be. But they are stacking wins to get there, focused on the journey instead of the destination.
