I wouldn't say any of them are having exemplary seasons so far...
But we're 5/1 too
Go figure - how they're winning is pretty interesting so far.
Thielen is only getting 7 targets a game, he has made some big catches for us, but we just are not going his way enough. At times it seems like we are trying too hard to get the ball to JJ instead of looking for who is open. Cook is also not getting enough touches, with the lack of the TE in the offense, I think he needs to be involved more in the passing game, he only has 16 total targets. I don't see ISJ as an impact player, doesn't seem to have the ability to create space, not very physical for a TE and has dropped some key passes. He plays more like a 4th/5th WR and not a TE.
I still see a great deal of athleticism in ISJ. He had the injury to shake-off + he is just not getting many touches outside of blitz dump-off's.
Agreed he's had a couple of not so memorable drops this year too.
But I think he can be an integral part of the offense going forward, where as a player like AT's best days are in the rear view mirror
I really thought KOC would be using ISJ like some of the te's were/are used by the Rams.

Pretty sure this is just a result of the growing pains with the new offense. We've seen it in every game this year except for the Packers, who for whatever reason chose to leave JJ uncovered.
Sure, we're 5-1, but that doesn't mean we're playing great offense yet. Far from it. Too many 3 and outs and not moving the ball with any kind of conistency is keeping all those players numbers down.
I think once the offense gets rolling (hopefully soon), you'll see those players contribute a lot more.

Agreed. Those players have shown they can make plays. So what's different this year? A new offense. Everyone is a tick slow thinking. That should improve as the year goes on.

This is where I’m at as well. I think Cousins is still a work in progress
in this offense. I think we’re still
kind of operating on if the play design was a good fit for what the defense was
doing and the first read or two create a big mismatch, then the play is going
to be a success, and if Cousins needs to see that the first read is going to be
a bust and then get to his other reads, that’s still an opportunity for
improvement. Overall it’s worked pretty
good, because we have an abundance of talent on offense. JJ, AT, KJO can all win on a pretty frequent
basis regardless of who’s covering them and that helps a lot.
Pre-season, I kind of had 7ish games as the transition point
from being firmly in the learning curve to starting to see some mastery of the
offense. We’ll see how that turns out,
but I’m still feeling good about the offense taking another solid step forward
in the second half of the season.

Yes, the offense has too many 3 and outs, not enough sustained drives. Cook is underused by most any measure. That is what I wager is keeping the numbers down.

I think we'll see more prioritization of running the ball on a forward basis. Least I hope so - passing the rock might be KOC's crack though. Just a gut feeling.
If they do, I hope its about using the pass to set-up the run. Kinda like how Favre ran things in 09. I think KC can pull that off too.
Bye came at a good time. Team fully healthy. Absorb more offense and defense system. Can't cast shade on KOC's plan to try and keep the team less physically stressed and fresh coming into the start of the year at the expense of reps for the starters. No cramping in Miami and no jet lag in London because of planning.
Situational masters? Maybe.
