We might end up winning but we don’t deserve it
Why don't we deserve it?  We had fewer penalties, fewer turnovers, and scored more points when it mattered...  Good teams find ways to win on the road when they don't have their best stuff.
Posters on this board the prior two seasons, "wins are the only stat that matter". Those same posters after a 5-1 start "ya but, they're not winning the right way". Some people aren't happy unless they're miserable.
Lets be brutally honest. This team isnt as good as their 5-1 record. If you pulled my post history I’d be found saying Zimmer was a handful of plays from being a playoff team.

This was a very flawed Dolphin team that we should have been able to put away a whole lots sooner then we did.
I agree that last year's team was a handful of plays from the playoffs. I also agree about the Dolphins. It should've been easier. But it's the NFL, look around....

Tampa was beaten by Pittsburgh, a team most thought was playing for a high draft pick. Green Bay was blown out by the Jets...at home. The team many on this board picked as the best team in the NFC just a week ago, the 49ers, were soundly beaten by Marcus Mariota and the Falcons.
I had this as their second most likely loss of the season behind @ Buffalo.  Take the W.  We will have some ups and downs, but winning on the road at this point is a good example of a team with some fight.  Not making Super Bowl plans just yet, but all of us would’ve taken a 3-0 North record and a 5-1 start.  Hopefully, we can tighten up the secondary with a trade, and we become quite dangerous.

The Packers have been winning for the last 10 years and I don't recall one game that they deserved.

Of course. And expect them to chime in with the next loss as well.

I learned many years ago that you never apologize for a road win in the NFL.

Yup, if you can go .500 on the road in this league of parity you are doing quite well.

This is a message board.  It'd be boring if we all sat around and agreed with everyone on everything wouldn't it?
The whole point of my comment about not deserving the win is we played bad.  9 out of 10 times we lose that game playing like that.  Somehow we got that 1 out of 10 win.  I'm happy for it.  I hope they go into the bye and get rested and ready for some brutal games down the stretch.

I think this team is a year or two out of being potentially dominate.  I'm not sure if Kirk can be that QB or not (I lean towards he can).  I'll be the first to point out the Ed Dona-shell D seems has been a problem all year.

But not all true---we've had 2-3 stinkers already this year--yet still dig deep enough to get the W.  Hats off to the the team and staff

Hell of a difference to last year packing it in the last 4 minutes of each half.

I took a few years off from the NFL and was just a casual fan. I checked on scores, watched highlights when the Vikings won, didn’t anguish over losses, or get too high over wins. Seems like in the past when the Vikings would have tough losses or even tough wins, it would make me miserable.
Now, I know that’s all on me. But, it still happened.
After the few years off, I decided to watch games again. Those years off made a big difference. I enjoy the wins more and didn’t get too annoyed with the loss to the Eagles.

I’m 59 years old, I’ve been a fan since 1973 when a good friend of mine gave me a team photo of the Vikings. There have been plenary of ups, and plenty of huge disappointments. I had a heart attack in April, actually on April Fool’s Day. It put a lot into perspective.
So,
I’m going to enjoy every win, close or not, and not sweat the losses (and there will be a few more in my lifetime).
But, I know lately that teams that have won the Super Bowl have had problems. It’s how they overcome those problems that matters. It’s if they get hot at the right time. It’s if they get breaks that maybe they didn’t deserve.

I remain optimistic about a Super Bowl win in my lifetime.

Well honestly, you can feel or post however you like. Same as me. I have no idea if this team is truly good or if they'll ever dominate in a year or two. But they are 5-1 not playing their best football. And the team looks closer and more bonded then I've seen a Vikings team in years. Like was said earlier, a fan can't say its all about the Ws and then bitch every week when the Ws come. Not saying that is you, I'm saying its hypocritical.

I tend to bitch and complain during the games when they struggle. In the end if they win I am happy and my complaints are forgotten history.

Bottom line is they're 5 - 1 going into their bye and I am ecstatic.
