I'm sorry but I can't stand Kris Boyd as a Viking. He has been terrible for two years, he acts too immature on the field. He's lucky he didn't get a flag on the fumble recovery for taking his helmet off and throwing it.
I place a lot of blame for Cine's injury on Boyd playing unnecessarily wild. He had no need to do what he did, launching himself across his own teammate 20 years from the PR. I feel for Cine because it seems like he was drafted by the wrong team. We had 2 potentially 3 safeties and a scheme that doesn't fit him.
I can't imagine him being a productive player for us until 2024 as a minimum which is NOT WHAT YOU WANT OUT OF A FIRST ROUND PICK.
Boyd made a huge play on the fumbled punt. As the gunner, he did his job by forcing the returner to take his first step sideways. But then he got up off the ground and came back and laid out the returner, causing a fumble and then recovering it. They got an easy FG out of that.

Absolutely correct, rewatched the play and you are right, no reason for Boyd to even be there, Cine already has the block, Boyd should have been going after the 2nd man down who went unblocked and forced the play out of bounds.

he made a play, and then acted like he won the damn game. I can understand being jacked up, and honestly gunners on kick coverage units need to be a little crazy to do their jobs, but the bit with the helmet and shit could and should have cost the team 15 yards, which the way our O was going for most the game yesterday would have likely taken the team out of field position and thus no 3 points and they end up losing the damn game. I appreciated the effort, but the celebration was stupid as hell and is maybe a sign of why he isnt making more of a contribution to our team.

I can't help but wonder if he will get the same level of surgeon over there as he would in the US. Of course this isn't a torn ligament that he can fly around and see specialists, you likely basically get who ever the local hospital has available for thing like this.
I think that's best case scenario at this point. Greenway had an acl tear and limped off the field his rookie season. Cine's injury appeared much more gruesome and there's been no word on the exact injury is, just a lower leg issue that required immediate surgery. It sounds more like a Bridgewater type injury but for a guy who relies on speed and quick change of direction ability...that's not good.
Teddy had nerve damage from a knee injury, Cine has a broken leg, likely needed the surgery to place plates and pins, but nothing I've seen so far suggests it more than that. It's a long rehab, but it won't necessarily derail his career anymore than Greenways knee did 20 years ago.
I hadn't heard it was simply a broken leg. Has there been any information released on exactly what the damage was? I hope he can come back, but even if he does, is he going to come back as the same player? I guess we'll all wait on more information to be released

all I heard was a lower leg fracture, its a small consolation that it didnt appear to be compound or twisted so maybe its a quicker heal? I have seen some blaming Boyd, but this just looked more like a turf thing to me, he didnt seem to be contacted by Boyd and it appeared he got a cleat caught while moving laterally, the kind of thing you would see and expect a knee lig tear or maybe an ankle before broken bones IMO.

Boyd is loud mouth, acts like he's the best player around. He can't even crack the starting lineup on a team lacking at CB. He needs to STFU.

Ok, help my memory out...
This is all kinda de ja vu for me...Who was the Viking (not too long ago) who was always bringing friendly fire down on our own players?
A Safety I think?
Eagan, Minn. (October 3, 2022) – After suffering an injury in yesterday's game, Lewis Cine was immediately transported to a local hospital where he underwent a successful preparatory procedure in advance of his scheduled surgery tomorrow, Tuesday, October 4. Following surgery, Lewis will remain in London to continue his initial recovery process before returning to Minnesota at the appropriate time. A member of the Vikings medical staff will also stay in London until Lewis returns. Head Coach Kevin O'Connell and members of the Vikings organization have been in constant communication with Lewis, who is in great spirits.

LOL....always? did it happen twice in his time here?
playing down hill is tough, Dejo got a lot of undeserved shit for a couple of football plays that had a bad outcome. it happens to anybody that plays that position with speed.
