KOC is young, good looking and he expresses himself incredibly well, probably better than any coach we've had (Sorry Jerry), which indicates a clear-headedness that hopefully translates to wisdom on the field. We'll see...

...because if he loses, all of the above will begin to grate on Viking fans. Call it what you want, pretty face, empty suit...doesn't matter, at the end of the day it's all about winning.

Yup ---

With a face and affect like that? I will grow to love him or loathe him, no in between.

More importantly, I hope he's as bright as a coach as he is articulate at the podium.

Ask the NE fans who adore a grumpy, temperamental coach who groans and moans his way through press conferences and sticks his dog in his chair on draft day what matters most in a coach  =)

Having the GOAT for a QB?

Does NE even make the playoff's this year? I'm not convinced of that.

I think NE finishes 3rd in the AFCE, but it wouldn't shock me if they finished last behind the Jets.  The NYJ got a damn haul in the draft.  The question is how fast Sauce, Wilson, Johnson and Hall get up to speed, because NE's got nothing on offense.

Its so interesting to see the long time fans talk about KOC: so guarded. We've been on the end of so many disappointing endings and critical game letdowns over the history of the franchise, its tough for some to be truly optimistic. I totally get it. The pain is real.

No doubt. But it's not just about coaching, it's about everything. There is no sports fan more terrified to be optimistic than the Viking fan. But given our history it's understandable.

If the team wins...the coach is doing everything right.  If the team loses...the coach is doing everything wrong...
