Question: any chance Schlottmann could get in there at center this season? Maybe the Vikings aren't pushing for another center is for this reason? Got a great PFF ratings against the 49ers backups, for whatever that means. Austin might be the best option considering what's out there and he's already in-house. I just don't see Minnesota putting draft capital up against this position in a trade with another team where the player would be decent right now. So its cast offs after the last preseason cuts. And that isn't great usually. So hence my thoughts on Schlottmann in this situation. I mean, he's only 26 years old....4 months younger than Bradbury.

Schlottmann has looked pretty good the few times I've watched him. He had some really nice run blocks in those clips featuring Ingram. Still think the mostly likely outcome is Bradbury remaining. For better or worse.

Totally agree. I think that is 100% how its going to go. My point being that if somehow he really starts to shit the bed in week 5 or 6, Schlottmann would be as good or better than trolling for centers in the final cutdowns from other teams.
