Observations from Day 1 Practice
#1
https://www.vikings.com/news/andrew-boot...p-practice

Jesse Davis to start at right OG (no surprise) and Ingram at RG on the 2nd team (no surprise either at this point). Dalvin Tomlinson, Harrison Phillips and Armon Watts start in the base 3-4.

p.s. The Eagan facility is absolutely gorgeous. I've said it before, but damn....as a player and coaching staff you have to look around and think you're in a good spot.

Closest thing to baseball in an Iowa cornfield...

Booth seems very impressive and likable, comes across as very mature, dedicated and respectful.  I was surprised we got him where we did and think he could be the rookie who makes the biggest impact this year.

That was a nice sliding pick he made in practice. Would be great to have a defensive back that can actually catch the ball for a change!

Makes ya wonder where he would've gone without the injury (and injury history). Likely middle first among McDuffie and Elam. Let's hope he's over them.

He was the one guy as the draft process went on that I felt we'd be most likely to target, or at least hoped we would. It seemed that Stingley/Sauce were going to go much higher than where our pick was (even though the Stingley dream lingered on for a while).

As long as he stays healthy I think he can be a big time contributor for this team.

Booth was a 5 star high school prospect, he's got as much talent as anyone.

You're right. I'm not worried about his talent though, just hope he can stay healthy.
