You either have a QB you can win with or you have one you need to replace. If he's in the first group, you have to pay him market value. It almost doesn't even matter where he might rank in that group.

I would rank him below Cousins. He doesn't show up for a lot of games and doesn't seem to be the best team guy. Would never give him that kind of money.

The kid is 24 years old....they are betting on the come. That he'll improve and grow. Yeah, its a lot of money but is this really surprising in the NFL QB contract game of today? Not to me.
