Me? I think it was distasteful with some disrespect and in-sensitivity mixed in.

Fox Sports apologized Sunday after placing a Baseball Night in America graphic over a shot of the 9/11 Memorial during its Saturday night broadcast of the New York Yankees' 14-1 win over the Boston Red Sox."During last night’s telecast, we used poor judgment on the use of a graphic," a Fox Sports spokesman told USA Today's Jace Evans in an emailed statement. "We sincerely apologize and regret the decision."

Fox Sports' graphic placement was immediately met with backlash:
The National September 11 Memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center includes a pair of memorial pools which have been approximately placed at the former sites of the two World Trade Center buildings that collapsed during the Sept. 11 attacks in 2001.

It was straight up trash and inappropriate. It's disrespectful.

I find it highly unlikely that it was intentional,  however I would be surprised if there wasn't. Somebody that should have been in charge of reviewing that kind of shit before putting it on air.

Yep. Probably no malice but just really dumb.

To be fair the graphics designer was probably about 5/6 when this happened

You don't put dopey graphics over any memorial, cemetery, or national monument. It's mind numbing how myopically dumb people can be when it comes to their profession. To the producer/director, it was probably just a convenient black space next to One World Trade Center...

The pimping of personal and/or professional brand has lost it's way in the last 10 years.
