Where in the world is Baker M. going to go?!
#11
I doubt the Browns will be too eager to trade him before Watson's cleared to play. Carolina and any other team interested, will have much better leverage with regard to how much of his salary each team may pay, when Watson is able to play. Someone will want him at the right price.

Agreed...And everyone is waiting for clarity on Watson no doubt.

I hope Mayfield catches on elsewhere.
I don't think there's any doubt about that, what fudges it up is if its this year, who pays what part of his salary and what's the compensation?

If he's given a suspension (which I assume will happen), how much is the fact that he didn't play all last year brought into the length of suspension?

I hope the brown win just enough to keep them out of top QB draft spots but enough to leave them in Nfl purgatory
Why the Brownie vitriol?

Dawg Pound fans are pretty loyal and have some hardship kinship with us Vikings fans. I sure dont put em in the same league as Eagle or Cowboy fans.

because of how classless some of them and the browns organization was with the way they handled and have treated Mayfield.  Baker seems like a pretty decent dude,  and is not a shit player,  his play declined when he went out there and gave it a go for them injured and they reward him by going all in on a sexual deviant or worse,  and then when Mayfield acts a little hurt they mock him?  I have been rooting for that franchise to turn it around,  but after seeing that... fuck em,  they dont deserve it yet.

It didn’t matter for Peterson.

Watson wasn't suspended last year.  He didn't play because he was holding out to force a trade.  His not playing last year is on him not the NFL, it should have nothing to do with the suspension length.    But most fans don't know/remember it was a holdout (I didn't until I read comments on a Rich Eisen show youtube vid... you actually can learn things there  :o )

I was one of many fans who didn't remember the circumstances of his sitting out. I do remember the trade force now. However, if I remember right (big IF), the Texans were in agreement with him not playing due to all his legal issues. So, if (again I preface my IF...) I'm right, it was a joint holdout in regard to demanding a trade and his legal issues. This may be mute though given the new legal accusations.
