Where in the world is Baker M. going to go?!

Will he play for the Brownies yet this year? I guess that depends on what the shield does.

I still read speculation on him or JG ending-up a Viking too.

I am not sure what other options the Browns have, it doesn't looks Watson is playing anytime soon, so my guess is that the Browns are going to have to try to make up with him and bring him back.

Best case for both him and the Browns is some contender’s QB gets hurt and they can do a deal. Even then it seems like the most CLE can recoup is a… hmm… 4th maybe? I do think he’s worth more than that but CLE has bungled the entire situation and other teams know it. Tough scene!

Is any of that speculation from legitimate NFL reporters, or just the dolts on Viking blogs pretending to be reporters?

He's going nowhere.  Cleveland's holding him hostage to save their asses when Watson gets suspended.   And Baker knows that if he wants to get any decent FA offers after this year, he has to play when the Browns ask, no matter how badly they screwed him this offseason.  If he refuses to play, he gets blackballed in 2023 FA.

Quite the spot the Browns have put themselves and Mayfield in. Watson is going to be a pariah around the national/local media all year if he plays.

I hope Mayfield catches on elsewhere.

I hope the brown win just enough to keep them out of top QB draft spots but enough to leave them in Nfl purgatory
