In all fairness, McCoy was on the downside of his career when he was in KC. They just made the decision to go with younger RBs.

I didnt and dont understand the hype around this guy.

Nor am I surprised to read this from one of his players. Hell, he's one reason why that NFCCG in 09 went the way it did too.

I never bought into the hype, either. Mostly national sportswriters jumping on the 'hire the black guy' train.

McCoy is not a reliable source in general and couple that with the fact that he was inactive for both the AFC Championship and Super Bowl that year and he becomes a non-factor in the discussion.
