Released?  What was he "in" for?

I was always suspicious of the golden-brown hair, big pearly smile and family image Smile

Mond, James Mond...

Year 2/3rd rounder;  I will be disappointed if he isnt #2 on depth chart this season.
I'm disappointed that Mannion is on the roster. Hopefully Mond is number 2.
Why?  We’ll have 3-4 QBs on the roster until camp cuts. Why not have a cheap veteran?  Now when preseason is over…
You saw him play against Green Bay right? That should have been enough to get him off the roster.
I did and it really didn’t matter to me at that point. If I’m coming in as a new coaching staff, I’m keeping the backup QB until I can see the other QBs practice.

He obviously would be a huge upgrade over Mannion, but we will never bring in a legit backup as long as Cousins is here.
Cousins has been on the NFL injury report ONCE since 2014. He has missed TWO games in his college and Pro Careers as a starter dating back to 2008. Backup QB is the absolute least pressing concern this team has had since Cousins signed.
Kind of like insurance, doesn't seem like a pressing need until you need it, Cousins has been amazing in terms of durability, but it only takes one fluke injury and the season is over without a decent backup.  Actually, it cost us the most important game of the season last year, in which we could not even bee competitive.

The only time this team adequately and competently addressed the backup QB position under Spielman it paid huge dividends in Case Keenum. Since them we've been relegated to the likes of Mannion and we've seen that result. I'm still floored that the new front office elected to extend that tradition

If there's anyone that's had a horseshoe, its Nick Foles. His horseshoe got him a ring....Keenum's got him a NFCC game. And for both after that moment in time? Yep.

So did Belichick. That was a bizarre year. That Eagles roster had no business even being in the playoffs. Just one of those moments that seems to be happening a lot in the NFL lately. Really good coaching meeting a team that got hot at the right time.
