He obviously would be a huge upgrade over Mannion, but we will never bring in a legit backup as long as Cousins is here.

I think it's an affordability thing at this point. It would be great to bring someone else in but I don't think they can.

The bigger issue is that he’d have to agree to be paid in cold stadium hot dogs and stale bubs as we don’t have any money to sign him. But yeah. Its probably cousins fault.

In the most Letter Kenny voice possible.....To beeee fair....The only game Cousins has missed that I can remember was due to Covid. I'm looking at his box score and it looks like he missed a game in 2019 but I honestly don't remember why. Even back into his redskin days it doesn't look like he missed time due to injury, just RG3

So do we really need to spend anything over the vet minimum? We have a 3rd rounder from last year that our coaching staff must feel "ok" with? Otherwise we would have drafted one of the QBs that fell like rocks this weekend.

Year 2/3rd rounder; I will be disappointed if he isnt #2 on depth chart this season.

Why? We’ll have 3-4 QBs on the roster until camp cuts. Why not have a cheap veteran? Now when preseason is over…

You saw him play against Green Bay right? That should have been enough to get him off the roster.

Cousins has been on the NFL injury report ONCE since 2014. He has missed TWO games in his college and Pro Careers as a starter dating back to 2008. Backup QB is the absolute least pressing concern this team has had since Cousins signed.
