So when I'd go visit my Mom in Michigan and if it was during December, I'd watch these with her as she loves the sweetness and wholesomeness of these schlocky shows on Hallmark/Lifetime. Its brutal to hang in there for 2 hours. They are horrible. And then there's another one on right after it.....then another. I'd watch as many as she wanted to. She also had beer for me, so that helped. But after a marathon, I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep living or not.

My mom loved to listen to Irish singer Danny O'Donnell and would play his music whenever I visited.  She always wanted me to enjoy the lyrics and share in the joy of his music.  Way too much for me but I was good son and listened.  She has been gone for 8 years now and I would give anything to have another day to visit with her.  Sometimes I listen to a song by O'Donnell in her honor and smile thinking of past shared moments.

Enjoy the moments that you can share because there will come an end...

Somebody at the network level thought… “yeah Christmas is great and all, but our audience is really starvin for more focus on identity and barn and kitchen humpin”.

Warn Grandma? Who do you think has been e-mailing them for months to put it in?
