Merry Christmas
#1
Got our annual kick to the junk early this year. We know the coal is coming for the Christmas stocking, why are we still surprised by it anymore? Dobbs is Dobbs, despite the early miracle....we knew this. Fan hope wasn't going to change it, although we rode it for as long as possible. Wasn't very long!  :p Brutal loss.

Mr. Positive and the Sunshine Factory are officially on hiatus.

I would say they come out of the bye week with Hall,  find out if there is anything there,  though him being relegated back to QB3 with Mullins return suggest we dont have much there.   Still very much in the wildcard fight,  but lets make the final games work for the future,  not a very mediocre present.

I think we've seen enough to know that the Past-ronaut isn't likely part of the future here.  He's a #2 at best,  would likely improve with time,  but how much time to be a good #2 do you give him?

I guess it could be argued how 'mediocre' is the present? At one point, we were down the first 3 QBs on the team. No JJ. We can't act like that those aren't hard hits to winning football games. I actually think the team is pretty good, but other than leading the league the first 3 weeks in turnovers and seeing how resilient a team can be after losing its starting QB, what do we truly know? We know the D is MUCH better. The team won 13 games last year with the worst D in the NFL. I'd have loved to have seen this D evolve to this point with Cousins QBing.

Its not a shit team....regardless how frustrating at times the season has been.

No,  its a mediocre team,  as fun as the winning streak was,  you can't overlook the start of the season,  then go look at the Eagles and Niners,  sure they have shown warts,  but they have also shown that they can kick ass,  this team doesn't seem to have that which is why I say mediocre.  And IMO Kirk is not part of the future,  he is a hindrance to it,  he will bring up the passing game,  but the offense will still struggle at times due to his lack of mobility,   which is only going to get worse with age and coming off the injury,  which will likely becoming more often with age and we are back at mediocre once again.

Imo time to move on,  go find a decent bridge QB and use the cap on fixing our OL and DL.

Valid take, just not one I completely agree with. Need a QBOTF 100%. It will be one highly interesting offseason, one of great importance for sure.

I give him none. He can't pass. Lacks accuracy. Poor decision making. Constantly throws to covered receivers. He's a backup unfortunately. Signature game for the Vikings. Pissing down their leg since the 1970's.
Yes let's play for the future. I bet they don't.

It's just always a key lacking component to this franchise. Last year it was the defense. This year we were at least building up to a serviceable defense thanks to a scheme, and a very good passing game, and have ZERO running game. Still not sure we have LBer's or a true DT's? How does this team get caught with its proverbial pants down in key areas year after year. RB's aren't even that hard to find, and we completely ignored it. Just don't know how smart KOC and Kwesi are when they seem to always be chasing shiny things and outsmarting themselves. Ignored improving the interior OL for multiple years.

Yeah we need to look for QBOTF, but we certainly could have done a lot more to help the one that was leading the league until he got hurt.

Biggest offseason in recent memory coming up.

w/out overthinking it... if you get some improvement on the DL and some more explosion in the RB group and its a much better team. ESPECIALLY if you can get KC back on a decent contract.
