they will.....

I heard a bit of florio on with PA this morning and they were talking about the likelihood of 3 Qbs taken in the top 15,  if that is the case I have to think our pick is certainly in play.

Pickett to Steelers makes too much sense and they know they can’t risk staying at 20 to get him. We get their 2023 first (and a sweetener?), they get #12. I’m guessing both sides would do that deal, it just depends on what the chatter is leading up to the draft on Pickett’s stock and if he’ll be there at 12.

The nice thing about a deal with NO or PIT would be that yes, both teams have good defenses, but both offenses stink. There’s a good chance the 2023 first would be top 15 for either team. Passing up a Stingley, Williams, or Wilson would hurt but 2 firsts next year would be a lot of fun.

Pickett had a great career but im not seeing the translation to top 15 pick. Willis at 7 makes sense and I really hope its the steelers and not the Aints.

Regardless of the QB market there are going to be O-line and WR needy teams who might be willing to pay and move up into the #12 spot. The Vikings are wedged in a good spot where the teams behind them will threaten those positions where there still will be some good talent left on the board.

Agreed. If the Vikings want to trade down, they might get a pretty good deal to do so.

Do you know if there are certain prospects still on the board where the Vikings might say no way to any trade down proposals? I imagine if a guy like Gardner or so were to still be there that the Vikings might be hesitant to move out unless they get a king's ransom.

I would imagine there are several players that would make the Vikings stick and pick. Gardner's probably one of them, along with maybe Hutch, Thibodeaux, Hamilton, and Walker. A few who might make them squirm a little: Jermaine Johnson, Trent McDuffie and Derek Stingley.

I'd imagine guys like Gardner, Hutch, Thibodeaux would make the Vikings stay unless it was an absurd trade proposal, but I wonder if there is anyone else asides from the top prospects that we don't know of that the Vikings would say absolutely no way. Geoff periodically throws out some good insider info as to certain prospects the Vikings are keen on. Just wondering if there are any that would qualify as surprising.

The draft can't come quick enough.
