100% on Mike Zimmer

If KOC and co. can improve this one stat to league average, it will make a big difference.

Historically bad on both sides of the ball at the end of the half.

Silly premise, everyone knows this is on KC.

On a more serious note, defensive minded coaches belong on the defensive side of the ball the way the game is played today. Certainly no gurantee KOC will do better with a different orientation, but I like our chances.

I think a lobotomized baboon could improve our situational football, so I have high hopes for KOC.

I agree....I think last year may have been the worst and I attribute it in large part to the HC and baby Coordinators.

But those CG non-performances over the years were painful too. Hell, they were a miracle catch away from 1 and done home disappointment in 17 too.

And to be clear, I believe KC is also part of the blame in these situations. I'd like to see those cold streaks knocked down in frequency and intensity. He is one streaky player.

It's just incredibly bizarre how the last two seasons have gone defensively when you consider Zimmer always has had his defense squared away and was renowned for his mind as a defensive specialist from Belichick on down to Parcells. These are the things I think were crushers for us on defense these last two seasons:

- No Danielle Hunter. He might be the best overall player on the team and is our closer on defense. Not having him around was a killer.
- No Michael Pierce.  We signed this guy to be a bull on our interior and stop the run. He opted out in 2020 and only played in a handful of games last season due to injury
- No Jeff Gladney. This guy was drafted and was counted on to be a starter and play at a high level for us. Flashed as a rookie then the arrest, release, and all that. Forced us into starting Breeland who was beyond awful.
- They tried to get cute early on with different 3-4 looks and stopped doing what Zimmer did best with the double A gap blitzes.

Those were all huge and then you sprinkle in various injuries to guys like Kendricks, Barr and you have the shit show we've had the last two seasons. It really boils down to Zimmer not having the right personnel to run things how he had become accustomed to running things. Not an excuse, just fact.

Not a comment to defend the offense, but Adam Patrick is such an Anti-Kirk douche. The defensive stat says we were the worst defensive team in that situation OF ALL TIME. His response is dragging in the offense, lolz dude is a clown

Wow what a coincidence, I think I drank 686 beers during opponent drives in the final 4 minutes before halftime or the end of the game…  Wink B) :p

When you have the worst defensive performance in NFL history in a particular situation....AND your otherwise top 10-ish offense finishes 29th in that very same situation? It's not hard to figure out where the problem lies.
