I don't think you should punish Hunter for being injured in the past as if he's injury prone, but I think it's fair to question whether his pec will be sufficiently recovered such that he'll be able to play at 100% all year or if it's likely that he'll be at 80% all year.
They won't get what he's worth in compensation.

Those are the questions being asked by every team who might trade for him. And why we won't get full value. My hope is that the Vikings love him in the 3-4 and work out a long term deal for him, but that sounds like fantasy right now.
What I think happens is as the deadline approaches, teams will put in their best offers and the Vikings will take the best one. But I have a feeling it's going to be low. Like a 2nd and a 4th.

Vikes can save $13.5MM this year by converting that amount to a signing bonus without him agreeing. He and his agent want top dollar and Vikes arent gonna do that so something has to give. My guess is he’s traded, which is fine with me as I dont think he wants to be in Minnesota

or pay him the fucking bonus and tell him since he didnt want to work with the Vikings...now he can play out the rest of his deal or sit out and get nothing for the next 2 years he is under contract for, which while it would suck for this years cap, the 23 hit would only be about 8.6 in cap hit, so essentially we would have him at a bit over 17m average in 22/23. If his camp wants to play hard ball IMO the Wilfs should do the same. We could still opt to trade him, but once that roster bouns is paid, every team out there has to know the price tag of pick goes up a bunch, IMO it would become a 2nd or 3rd this year and a 1 next year. ( i really want to have at least 2 firsts next year and possibly 1 more to be able to make a run at that QB market)

also the “shopping” story was only mentioned by Ben Goesseling and PFT referenced his story. no other national media guy has mentioned the “shopping” as far as Ive seen . i find that interesting.
