Oil company profits are at 7-year highs, they get $180 billion a year in government subsidies and they're issuing $88 billion in buybacks/dividends this year.

 Do the math.
Any sitting President has zero to do with the cost of gas.

so killing oil pipelines and closing areas to oil exploration/drilling had nothing to do with the increases?  in a speculation driven market,  doing things that are negative to the industry wont affect the price?
Which pipelin? Because if you are talking Keystone that Had NOTHING to do with gasoline.

First that was canadian tar sands sludge that couldn’t be used for gasoline. Potentially ot could be used for diesel but it was only for export. Not for U.S. consumption. Additionally that coal sludge IS in fact being transported still. Lastly it was to cross an aquifer.

So to wrap it up. It was canadian sludge (not sweet crude) that was for export after being refined in TX. Doesn’t seem like a good value to chance ruining an aquifer for something that would have very little U.S. value.
that pipeline was also set to haul oil from the bakken (which is in the US)  which is not now happening, instead that oil that is going to market is being hauled by rail cars,  owned by the people that funded the protests over the pipeline.  its not about protecting aquafirs,  its about who gets to profit and who doesnt.

I guess Biden's reach is so great it's impacting gas prices in Europe.

God help us.
is oil not a globally used product?  is it hard to understand that any disruption in the worlds oil supply is going to have ripple affects globally, even in Europe?

by the way,  how are you liking your F150?  I am looking for a new truck and thinking very strongly about the F150 w/ the 3.5V6 and 10 speed tranny.  I test drove one last weekend and fuck me that sumbitch has giddy up.  I was doing over 90 in about not time flat and although it ran through gears getting there you never felf it shift like you would a 6 speed.

Love it! That's what I have under the hood. I got 26 mpg last summer driving to Florida. Extremely comfortable ride. Lariat package. It's got the tow package so I can tow just about anything. I've hit the gas a couple times and shocked myself. It just flat out hauls ass.

you got a 2x4 or 4x4?  26 is pretty damn impressive mileage.  I think they are only stickered to about 23 in the 4x versions that I would be looking for.

It's the 4x4. I do drive with a light foot. I keep it just under 70 mph and the RPMs drop from 1700 to 1600. Th 10 speed is silky smooth.

Also domestic oil production herr is at an all time high. There is no problem with our ability to produce gasoline. The problem is the greed of the oil companies taking advantage of a catastrophe and using it as an excuse to price gouge. And after we have been warned again and again that thos would happen if we allowed certain deregulation all I can say is…. No shit? What did you expect?

Still some of you will continue to lobby for the very people that want to steal from you. Can’t make it up.
Not true.  We're about 1.5 M Barrels (14%) per day off our high in 2020.  Hostile policy drives up the prices and you know it Mike.  It's not just Keystone, it's the Atlantic Coast pipeline, it's threatening closure of the Michigan pipeline (Candidate Biden promised to close them all down), it's regulatory changes, it's threatening to tax oil companies out of existence and parading oil executives in front of Congress unless they commit to 5% reductions per year, it's cancelling leases.  Speculators take ALL that information...and speculate....and guess what...it drives up the price of oil.

Keystone is less a factor then the moratoriums.

Nah, that might have been their own eco-lunacy policy that left them dependent on Russian oil.

Oil companies are greedy, but funny, during the last presidency it was as low as it has been in decades.  Now it is higher than it has ever been.  So nah, policy has nothing to do with it.  Other than providing the cover for those greedy oil companies.  And greedy pharm.

Pretty sure Biden was crowing about a 2 cent drop in gas prices back in December.  Mega corps have way too much sway down in DC and right now the perpetual war party is in charge and that is screwing the american people.
