Both of these defenses are impressive. Outstanding performances by both.

McPherson is money. Too bad we don't have a kicker like that. Oh wait, we had Carlson, but Zimmer didn't want him and chased him out of town. One of his many failures as a Head Coach.
Have a buddy who is a GB fan. He
kept saying he was gonna miss it. I said he only misses vs GB cuz thats what the NFL wanted him to do. Dude is money…love this Bengals team although they arent beating Buffalo or KC

Really?

Dan Quinn would like a word.
Meh. I would much rather have Ryans or Morris if we are going the D Coordinator route. BTW, both of their teams actually made it past the first round and their defenses had a lot to do with it.
Me too. But Quinn brought the Cowboys from 28th to 7th. 2014 Zim brought the Vikings from 32nd to 11th. To say a 1 year turn around isn't possible is straight up wrong.
It's possible if you have most of the pieces in place, but the point I was making in my opening statement is that we have too many holes to fix it through the draft in one offseason and no cap space to spend in free agency. I think we are looking at 2 years to fix this defense as it stands right now.

Cap can easily be manipulated. We just saw that. Draft is loaded at DE and CB. Several LB options as well.

I love your optimism, but this is a Vikings team that has drafted poorly on the defensive side of the ball over the past several seasons. I think there is a talent gap that will require a rebuild of this defense that will take time. Hope I'm wrong, and anything is possible, but I need to see some evidence that it can be fixed that quickly before I drink the new GM/HC Kool Aid is going to fix everything overnight. This team's demise took several seasons to create so that is why I'm going into this season with zero expectations. Make no mistake, this offseason will be far more exciting than the last two regular season disappointments under Zimmer and Spielman.

If Kittle is dropping passes then the GB SF game has already been decided

Quarterbacks win football games in the modern NFL. Titans defense played amazing. They don’t have an elite QB and they lost to one who is. The sooner this board embraces analytics and QB-centric team-building, the sooner the Vikings can get out of the stone age and win something.

The 49ers just won despite Garoppolo's putrid performance but I get what you are saying.

Yep. I’d normally say Jimmy G beating Rodgers goes against my post, but Rodgers stunk out the joint too. A real shame!  :p

In defense of Jimmy G., he did have Tom Compton(the same Tom Compton that Spielman signed to fix our guard situation) as his starting Right Tackle last night. Even when he did have time, his throws and decision making were terrible. They are lucky that the Niners shut Rogers down and held him without a TD Pass.
