He did a great job at Alabama as the OC, FAU, and Ole Miss which is a tough place to win consistently. He really showed his immaturity in his younger years as the Head Coach with the Raiders, TN, and USC but that was also a total shit show with the Reggie Bush violations that basically shut down Post Season Bowl appearances for 3 years which happened on Pete Carol's watch and was why he bailed to the NFL. He's 46 now. Has he matured enough to get another shot? There's no doubt he has offensive coaching talent, but can he be a successful Head Coach in the NFL? I think he is better suited to the College Game, but if he had an experienced D Coordinator to run the defense, it would be an interesting hire. Our offense would be exciting to watch as he could match the creativity of the Shanahans, McVays, Paytons, Reids of the NFL.
