Zimmer on Mond

Throwing a rookie under the bus is not a good look. It's disrespectful and unprofessional. And I know Mond is an adult, but I am not talking about hurt feelings here. I am talking about being mature and not petty. He is out of line here. He is wrong
Anyone who was afraid of what this game would do to the confidence of Mond needn't worry, you have Zimmer to rip into his confidence.

I know he has thrown players under the bus before but how many times can he do this before he loses the locker room? I just don't how much more the guys will fight for him. He is only fighting for certain people and the way he goes about it is ridiculous at times. He is not going to change at this point but there are other players that deserve a coach that will have their backs. I am so fucking over it.

He basically just said, "Hey Mond... You know that sack of crap that played tonight? Mannion? Yeah... He's better than you."

Just a prick thing to say, because it feels like he's shooting strays on the way out.

Regardless of what he believes (staying or going), it's a prick thing to say.
  • If he thinks he's staying, he just blasted the confidence of his year two QB.
  • If he thinks he's on the way out, he poisoned the well.
When we're winning his act of grumpy old man who chews leather and spits nails is tolerable and somewhat endearing (in a "Can you believe Grandpa said that?" kind of way).

When we are losing or hovering around .500, it's condescending, insulting, and downright grating to watch.

I will be the first to say that I've given Zim a longer leash than most, and have been a fan of his pressers in the past, but at this point, his act has just worn thin.

And yet again why he shouldn't have been given the chance to play out the season.   Most knew that this game wasn't likely going to end well,  just as most have been able to see this team wasn't playoff caliber.  He should have been shown the door long ago,  but at a minimum, before he could do more damage.

Vikings fans not exactly raving about Mike Zimmer.

Do fans want to see Zimmer coach next week?

Fans: “Not particularly.”

Why not?

Fans: “We see him every week.”
