What is Kirk? So easily for you all to hate on him but he has been by far the best 5 year QB run the Vikings have had in decades. Yes Farve was great in 10 and Randall was great in 98 but those were 1 year anomollys that were followed immediatly by a terrible year.
If you want to sao he has struggled to draft a great QB fine, he can join the club with every other GM. Look at the numbers drafting a great QB is nearly impossible and GM struggle to identify the best QBs in the draft year after year. Also, it seems that QBs that sit and learn have a better chance to succeed than top drafted QBs that are thrown to the wolves on a bad team...
Remember when the Jags were actually good under Tom Coughlin back in the late 90s? They appeared in 8 playoff games, winning 4. But Kahn, frustrated with "mediocrity," fired Coughlin in 2002.
Coughlin goes to the Giants and wins two Super Bowls. In the 20 years since Coughlin was fired in Jax, the Jaguars have had 7 head coaches. Average winning percentage: .249.

We just cant be naive enough to think that alone will be the silver bullet.
GM has to be in sync and get the right players (yes, players make the coaches in the NFL).
Did Mike get the most out of the talent he has? I dont think so
Is the Vikings talent above a 7-9 win team? I'm not sure about that, not as sure as I was coming into this season.
Daboll might bring Trubisky with him.
So, there's that for the trade Cousins crowd.

In 2019 they were third in points scored, third in yards, 4th in red zone efficiency, first in passing yards, third in passing td's. No Brady, Gronk, Brown, Fournette. Not to say this new cast doesn't help, but its not like the offense wasn't producing prior to their arrivals.

Wrong take home message MB, the correct one is hire Coughlin! We need a wining coach that can develop winners and players that believe and achieve!

we are paying him way to much money for that kind of performance.

What's funny is that the Vikings defense was very good in 2018 and 2019, but we went 8-7-1 and 10-6 with Kirk. Some are conveniently forgetting that...
