We were, and still are, locked in on the $45 million to Cousin's even if we drafted Fields or Mac. The only way out is a trade, and that takes 2 to tango, or another renegotiation (I puked a little in my mouth).
With Cousin's 45 million hit we are already the team most over the CAP for 2022 according to Spotrac.
He has us by the nads and he is asking us to cough, mask free
Fairly certain it’s the Saints who are the team most over 2022 cap. Vikes are 4th?
Oh good, 4th worst, I feel much better
Right, but like most teams with cap issues, the biggest cap drags are in one or two salaries. Extend or trade Cousins and the Vikings cap problems go away. Same for the Saints with Lattimore and/or Michael Thomas.
Trade at all costs literally. Jjust like zimmer about 3 years ago i am completly off the cousins bandwagon
i dont want a new HC stuck with cousins even for one year nevermind 2 or more
I'd be for the extension, but trading him wouldn't ruffle my feathers too much. But I'd only do it for a QB who's ready to start right now. Either long-term (yeah, good luck finding one better than Cousins) or a low-cost bridge to give Mond another year.
I certainly wouldn't do it for a 1st round pick QB. The odds of hitting are just so low it's not worth it. What's more, there's too much talent on this team to saddle with a rookie QB backed up by a 3rd round question mark.
Sign a bridge (Teddy, Matty, Goff, Mariota), then use the two 1st rounders to draft CBs and/or Barr's replacement. Vikings right back in the game.

Eberflus also being courted. My dark horse candidate.
Eberflus is a good candidate agreed. There are several quality orgs/staffs that we should be looking at with interest - Indy, NO, Dallas, Buffalo,
Roman coaxing 300 yards out of Josh Johnson...Snoop Huntley... I'd give him a crack at Mond...
#Jaguars head coaching candidates, on Day 1 of the interview request window:
#Bucs DC Todd Bowles
Ex-NFL coach Jim Caldwell
#Colts DC Matt Eberflus
#Packers OC Nathaniel Hackett
#Bucs OC Byron Leftwich
#Cowboys OC Kellen Moore
Ex- #Eagles coach Doug Pederson
#Cowboys DC Dan Quinn
Kahn and Balke will find the dog out of this group
Call me gun shy on OCs that made their name with great QBs like the gbay oc. Think about how many Ocs with Brady went onto do nothing, seems the packers have had a few fail that got their shot after working with Favre or rogers. Maybe not a fair assessment but it's not a great testament ro their skill when they've had a hof qb to work behind.

You'll love Greg Roman. With Jackson out, he's coaxed massive production out of Snoop Huntley, an UDFA, and Josh Johnson, who has been on 14 pro team.

Agreed.
The #Jaguars will interview Super Bowl-winning former #Eagles head coach Doug Pederson on Thursday, source said. Their first interview as they try to replace HC Urban Meyer.

I wish the Vikes could have interviewed him.
Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn is interesting in becoming a head coach again. He’s not sufficiently interested in becoming a head coach to interview for the vacancy in Jacksonville.
Via Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, Quinn won’t interview for the Jaguars’ vacancy. The team requested permission to interview the former Falcons coach on Tuesday.
Lololol...
