Vikings placed Alexander Mattison and Dan Chisena on COVID-19/reserve list. Kyle Hinton has been placed on practice squad reserve/COVID-19.

Mattison unvaccinated. No idea on Chisena. Need him against the Bears punt returns.

I sure hope Covid burns out one day in my lifetime.

More likely:

Covid eradicated
Vikings win SB

I don't think we see either at this rate.

I wonder why Mattison is't vaxxed?  I hope he has a better reason than just being an effing dumb a$$.   Missing time because of this while your team is fighting for a playoff spot sure doesn't seem like a "team first" guy to me.

Personal principles will rule for many. Thats not meant to be a criticism either.

I dont understand why fans are astonished when it happens? I just cant see a player getting vaccinated primarily because it helps the team. They do it for themselves or not.

Maybe I'm wrong here...

Yeah, I think we like to imagine that everyone’s a team
player like it was back in the 60’s or something where everyone was in it to
win the big game, but I don’t think that exists anymore.  We live in the world where this is a business
decision for them.  If you don’t like
your team, raise a stink and force a trade.
If the money isn’t good enough, hold out and force a renegotiation.  I think most of these guys have a pretty good idea if any
given team is good enough to make it deep into the playoffs and frequently
choose money over team succcess.  For most of these players and their
demographics, the risk of complications from Covid or the vaccine are probably
so minimal to not really matter that the negative costs are probably just not playing
in 1-2 games.  I could easily see players
not thinking it was worth the risk.

They signed journeyman RB Wayne Gallman. Does that mean that they have little confidence in Nwangwu as the backup?

Not much confidence in Nwangwu or Rose at RB, it seems. If Gallman goes down does anyone know what kinda shape Asiata is in? /s
