Why not submarine the season and get better draft capital. Hoping for a top 10 pick.

Zimmer will not submarine the season. He will be playing to win at all cost with no regard for the future thus worsening our draft position (just like the Chicago game last year)
If you fire him you have a chance to evaluate players and not focus on winning now because the season is lost.
So we kind of are hoping for/ saying the same thing :-)

im pretty tired of Zimmer.  but no one fires a coach one game out of playoffs regardless of how unlikely we may think it is that they make it.

heck, id they win thursday theyll likely be in playoff spot by end of the week. end of season is what matters, obviously

I agree with your one game out of playoff take but somehow I still want him gone

The issue isn’t making the playoffs. Whether he makes the playoffs isn’t the measuring stick. The team is in constant disarray. There is no feeling that the team os on track at all. The losing os one thing, but even the wins are chaotic and they are that way because of what appears to be a lack of planning, coaching and an ability to do simple things such as clock management. Everything about this team feels like a giant clusterfuck. From not playing starters in preseason, to not being able to maintain a kicker on the team worth a shit, to running a shit prevent defense with the game on the line and having your DB’s 7 yards in the endzone.

I had heard a couole years ago that the Wilds were poised to fire Zimmer if he lost to the saints in the first round of the playoffs. Then Rudolph catches the walk off td and they decided not to. Wilf has been on thin ice for a while. Time for him to go.

No D can win if the mindset is to play off 7/8 yds and try and react as the Wr/Rb comes at you at a full head of steam and then make a split second decision is he going inside or out.  This bullsheet of not playing up and jamming your man and going with him to re route the play is ridiculous.
